A night I will never forget.
We exchanged thoughts,
So deep and personal.
Sweet words flowed.
I thought you were the one.
Our love so strong.
Only now it's gone.
Words expressed with love now empty.
Just sounds with no meaning.
Only feelings of love unreturned
Only thoughts unwanted left,
Twirl around my brain,
Of what if's, should haves
Unanswered questions remain,
That only serve to torture me,
Day after day.
Trying to forget, my mind won't listen.
Trying to forgive, my heart still broken.
Trying to move on, my body so still.
A broken heart tears at my soul.
Darkness all around me.
When will it end?
