On Casual Sex
I’ve been reading a couple of women’s blogs that have dealt with the subject of casual sex recently. This is what happens when a society allows women the right to vote (just kidding). In thinking about casual sex, I realize that this is simply another subject in which my attitude has changed dramatically since my youth.
When I was eighteen, I was vehemently opposed to the military draft. Although I did my duty and registered, I didn’t open any mail for those next few years. However, when I turned 30, the military draft didn’t seem like such a bad idea after all. Now that I’m over 40, I realize that it was a terrible mistake to do away with the draft, and that we should rectify that mistake at once.
Similarly, when I was young I was a big fan of causal sex, and did my best to engage in it every chance I got. I realize now, that behavior is simply wrong . . . for young people. I believe those under the age of 40 should engage in sex only with their spouses, and even then, only for the purpose of procreation. Casual sex should be reserved for only those of us over forty; as we need both the entertainment and exercise.
I realize that, among my many millions of readers world wide, there are some younger men who might not agree with my position. Just as I once opposed the draft, there may be some young men in opposition to your friend and humble blogger. Fear not, my brothers, and stay with me. In the posts ahead I’ll be addressing issues that will convince you that life, indeed, begins at forty. These subjects will include “Women Over Forty”, “Cuddling (and the lack thereof)” and “More: Women Over Forty”. Be watching . . .

Ah, how different are women from men.
When I was eighteen I was very interested in casual sex. I indulged my interest at every opportunity, always seeking a more profound and exhilarating experience without regard for stale morality or the status of my "reputation." Youth, vigor and naivete were all on my side, and there were no threats of aids or std's.
Good in bed was what I sought and sought to be, and curiosity kept my interest piqued. The sex was great- or at least good; the partners enthusiastic.
But as the years passed, I found my partners less and less able to placate my needs. They constantly remarked that I could stand to lose some weight, should wear bizarre dominatrix costumes, pretend to be "a nurse," or scream obscenities and spank them. Worst of all - the older I got - and thus my partners - the more they insisted I should get "on top" for pretty much the entire scenario...
And here I must add that the point of those ads for Viagra, et.al., are that men should actually [I]try it, if they've lost their "last". [/I]
Thus my interest in casual sex has waned.  I now require all sorts of assurances that I won't be grossed out; guarantees of satisfaction, and evidence of ability, before considering any act of consummation.
So when you say: we need both the entertainment and the exercise, what I think you should be saying is the we both need the entertainment and the exercise.
Ready; willing; and able takes on new meaning after forty.
I apologize for this lengthy comment, but society dictates that I should have an equal voice...

Hang on a minute, I think I broke a rib laughing. I had to use emoties until I caught my breath. Another blogger and I were just discussing this. Great minds think alike.
