My sister & I have a different opinion of when it comes to gifts & love. I prefer simple things, simple gifts, since I can not afford to give expensive things I give from my heart & what I know someone likes. And I know that I have my family's love even if what I have given is just simple. My sister on the other hand has always thought that in order to have our Mom's love or acceptance & my love or acceptance that she has to BUY our love. No matter how many times we tell her that we do not want something that costs so much, a poster we can color, a nic nac, maybe a warm shirt in winter or cool shirt in summer is all we want & need. She don't think so, the cost of the gifts she gave us for Christmas were outrageous. She thinks & always has that things from her get her love when we have always loved her no matter what. I wonder how we turned out so different like night & day when we were raised the same.

Yes, someone sent me a gold ring this Christmas and someone else sent me a cheap and tacky screw driver set. Needless to say, I love the guy who sent me
the gold ring and not the one who sent the screw driver set.

I think it's the time and thought that went into the gift. It also depends on your relationship with the person and their finances. I mean if your boyfriend is fairly well off and he buys you a coloring book and crayons from a dime store and gives his secretary a diamond necklace, I might think twice. Shows he didn't put any thought into the gift nor care when he well could afford to get you something nicer. Personally, I listen during the year to my family and am a practical buyer and get them alittle what they need and alittle what they want and put thought into my gifts so there are no returns and what I buy they actually want or need them. tc Lost

I don't think it is the price of something.......it's the thought that matters the most......plain an simple..........

Being different is wonderful........there are no 2 people are alike......just different ideas and different situations......in the end ...................it comes down to one thing.......what matters in the heart
