This Christmas was our first Christmas together as man and wife.
I met Gregg in the chat room in 2005, we began as friends always the best way I think, before taking it to mails, then msn, then trips to see eachother.
I had no idea when it all started that I would end up moving here permanantly, I've never been a one to try and predict the future for myself, I let life roll along and what comes along does, that way life is always about surprises.
We married in July of this year.
It was really strange getting used to writing a diferent surname after writing the same one on forms and cheque books for 21 years!
In this one year, I have moved home, married, adopted dogs, and bought a home with my new husband in Texas with lots of land in the countryside.
Its been a very busy year for me but so rewarding in so many ways.
Tonight we are staying in by the TV with a bottle of champagne and watch the countdown in San Antonio city.
January the 1st 2009 will be the start of the first year that we begin it as man and wife.
We have many plans for next year, we want to have a wedding blessing where all our friends and family can attend from England and Portugal too, we also want to go on a world trip, Rome, Canada and China is on the list. We're neither of us getting any younger, the world is out there to see, and we want to see some of it before we're either too old or incapable. Ive always wanted to see the Colisium in Rome, and Gregg would like to see the Terracotta army in China.
Before that my parents are coming over in Febuary and staying for a few weeks, I'll have my very proud English lady mother wearing a cowgirl hat and saying Ya'll in no time! haha.
So tonight as we raise our glasses to the new year, we will thank our lucky stars that we found eachother and toast the new year in as Mr and Mrs Jenkins.
