A very Happy New Year to all from Equuisdancer and DbnDon. (Ann & Doug)
Yep . . . we again fought Mother Nature with a long ride across the state so we could be together for the New Year. This time there was no snowstorm. Nope, the weatherman fooled us by first predicting a relatively nice day but . . . well . . . what happened was very dense fog for the whole 380 mile drive, mixed with huge thundershowers and heavy rain.
Nonetheless, the return drive was pleasant for both of us (even the white knuckled driver) because we were together!
And so here we are yet again, watching the weather from seven floors up on New Years Eve -- together. “Together,” of course, being the operative word there. . . . There have been some rather hard drives necessary for us to get together this winter but, from my point of view, it’s all been well worth it. That is, I get My Sweetie here for quite a few days at a time and that can’t be beat! Last time the plan was for six days but ended up (thanks to Mother Nature) two weeks. . . .
Some talk about “dating,” but we’ve been a little unconventional about that, to say the least. We’re doing it our way and not worrying about what others may think.
This trip, we’ve got a little over two weeks here together before the trip back, then a turnaround return for more time together. Because we are both retired, that’s possible and we are taking full advantage of the situation.
We hope that you all have a great and prosperous and Happy New Year, as we will. And, here sits two happy people who can honestly thank Match Doctor for facilitating our meeting.
And to all our friends, who have wished us well, we dearly appreciate and thank you for your comments and hope that all of your lives are soon as happy and enriched as ours are.
