The end of the 12 days of Christmas ends tomorrow. The beginning being Christmas eve, the end the 5th of January.
I decided to take the house lights down today whilst Gregg is at home to help, but I'll be taking down my tree and the indoor decs tomorrow.
I'm always sad to do it, it's like the absence of Christmas in the home leaves it looking so cold and empty.
I loved the tree this year, we always get a real tree because despite certain reasonings, its actually more ecological to have a real tree.
A False tree is made in a factory spewing out toxins from the factories whilst the real tree gives off oxygen.
The Real tree after being cut down will be replaced with another that will again give off oxygen whilst the fake tree will have another made giving off more fumes.
The real tree when Christmas is over can be used as compost or left out for the recycling like we did last year. The Fake tree when discarded will take thousands of years to decompose and gives nothing back.
I especially loved my angel this year, I bought her on e bay for just $2, she stands 19 inches high and she moves her arms and head, she has a pearl studded dress and a porcelain head and is quite lovely, I'll be sad to see her put away in the box for another year.
Oh well Goodbye Christmas tree, you graced our home beautifully and your scent of pine was delightful.
