My favorite flowers are Red Band and Martha White. Both are highly consistant and completely predictable,,, time after time. They make the best biscuits.
 
Joking aside, for the other kind,,,, Daffodils, specifically yellow Jonquils,,,,

Paula, it's so nice you chose the Sunflower. I have always loved them. I watched the English movie Calendar Girls on Christmas Eve and one of the main character's husband's is a gardener dying of Cancer. Before he's asked to give a talk to the local Women's Institute, to which his wife belongs. He prepares the talk but dies before he can make it. After his death his wife asks her best friend to read the talk her prepared to the W.I. At the begining of his talk, he compares women to flowers and the stages they grow and how the last stage of growth is the most beautiful... then they go to seed ... which is so true. Later on in the talk he says his favorite flower is the Sunflower because it has the ability to follow the sun ... I didn't realise sunflowers changed direction according to the sun, but of course it seems obvious now, that's why they have their name, I always thought it was because they look like the sun! It's a good way to live your life don't you think, always look for the sun.

My favorite are yellow roses, don't know why the color yellow, I just love them in the gardens, seems to brighten them up and cheer up a table. Take care Lost
