Here are some questions to those who feel there have to be something done about our climate, i still want to have children and most of you on this site probably will too. And who doesn't want them to grow up in a world safe for them and their (your) (grand)children.

1. Why are we still using oil and coal etc..while a century ago alternatives were already availible?

2. Why are you doing the same? if you're not, send me an email.

3. wise or unwise? making money on alternative sources while keeping your own dream of a cleaner world intact?

I've commented and blogged on this topic before, but...

We put as much fossil fuel into our refrigerators as we do in our cars. We not only have to change what we drive and the way we heat our homes, but also the way we eat. We must eat locally and organically.

If each of us were to make one meal per week made exclusively of locally grown, organic produce and meats, we would save 1.1 million barrels of oil every week. Yep, you read that right.

Agribusiness has sold us a bill of goods. They have engaged in poor agricultural practices that have led to a nation of overweight adults and children and overused top soil. Our food is becoming increasingly tasteless and less nutritious, as fruits and vegetables are being grown not for their flavor, but for their ability to be shipped over great distances.
