When I was just a little girl I asked my mother, what will I be Will I be pretty, will I be rich Here's what she said to me.
Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be The future's not ours, to see Que Sera, Sera What will be, will be.
lyrics from "Que Sera, Sera" as sung by Doris Day
I find these song lyrics going through my head a lot lately for some ungodly reason!
It all started a couple of weeks ago when I had an encounter in the forums here on the site. This person, claiming to be a new member here, found it necessary to strike out against me. Promptly, I looked at the person’s profile & the few other posts he had made. I found it all strangely familiar & immediately realized it was not a new member at all, but a member who had been previously banned from the site.
Yes, it was all familiar as I recalled this person had a very strong dislike for me…and me for him as well. He came here looking for a target & in me, he found one he could pounce on. Yes, I was quite positive who he was, but I was not willing to give in so easily. I wanted him to continue his rant & show himself for whom he really was…and soon enough it was done. And he was banned once again.
What really made this even more humorous to me was finding out that this guy went off whining because someone “ratted” or “squirreled” on him, as he preferred to put it. He accused his friends of telling on him…for doing something he should not have done in the first place. Wow.
I say it is humorous, but to be honest, it is sadly pathetic. People get off on doing things they know they shouldn’t do & when they get caught at it, they blame everyone but themselves. What a shame.
Tunes recently wrote a blog entitled “All Quiet on the Western Front.” As are all of Tunes’ blogs, it was an awesome read that I thoroughly enjoyed. In that blog I took away from it two quotes that apply in all aspects of life…this instance included:
Embrace personal responsibility. You reap what you sow. How much simpler can it be? Take it for what it’s worth, people. Whenever you do something you shouldn’t be doing, more often than not, you are gonna get called out on it. It’s even happened to me. The best thing you can do when this happens is ADMIT IT…yes, embrace personal responsibility for what you’ve done. And further to that, if you are not nice to people, they are not going to be nice to you.,….again, you reap what you sow.
Maybe now that I’ve put this all down, I can get it out of my head. Hopefully, I’ll quit hearing that dang Doris Day song over & over & over….for whatever will be, will be!

Ta-da!!!
Whatever will be will be.... great reminder... we are but in control of ourselves and our reactions....what will be will indeed be. We face consequences not based on others but our own personal actions and reactions to others... it's all we own really!
The future is truely not ours to see, but... based on who we are and our actions and interactions... it's pretty damn predictable.... silly people huh?

And further to that, if you are not nice to people, they are not going to be nice to you.,….again, you reap what you sow. Which is why I work so hard to watch what comes out of my mouth and actions. I don't always get it right, but I pick myself up and try again. Failure is never final.

I was talking to my friend Kat the other day about a similar situation, it's sad, but true, you just can't trust anyone, no point whining about it.

I've noticed that whenever there is someone new who starts hating on me...It almost alway's turns out to be the same member who was kicked off over and over again...It's a shame when people do that.
...It makes it hard to trust anyone who starts wanting to be your friend on here

I don't always get it right, but I pick myself up and try again. Failure is never final. We don't learn as much from success, as we do from failure.
I'm not sure about he hole Que Sera, Sera idea. Much too passive for me.
But I do agree, that if you are rude or judgemental of others,,, you better be ready for treatment in kind.
Nice post,,,,,
