I feel so unwelcome in blog land, it used to feel like home.
Now I am not allowed to comment on some blogs due to the blogger's fears that I may have a different opinion...get over it.

Oh, give me a home where the buffalo roam
And the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Home, home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

How often at night when the heavens are bright
With the light from the glittering stars
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed
If their glory exceeds that of ours

Where the air is so pure, the zephyrs so free
The breezes so balmy and light
That I would not exchange my home on the range
For all of the cities so bright

Oh, I love those wild flow'rs in this dear land of ours
The curlew, I love to hear scream
And I love the white rocks and the antelope flocks
That graze on the mountaintops green

And to apease the plagerism narc, this is the best I can do to credit whoever may have written it

Home on the Range appears to have been written in 1885 by C.O. Swartz, Bill McCabe, Bingham Graves and other prospectors in a cabin near Leadville, Colorado. It was popular all over the Southwest through the 1880's and 1890's, then disappeared until being revived about 1932.
The song has also bee attributed to:
William and Mary Goodwin
or
Dr. Brewster Higley and Dan Kelley

Perhaps some of the bloggers are experiencing the winter blahs, why less people are blogging ,or on the site. I know when the sun is not shining and the weather is cold I don't feel my perky self.

Here is a hug for you, squeeeeeze, now do you feel like you're home again?

At the time of twilight, not a dear soul in site,
I retired to my puter to blog,
But what should appear, but a nark that we fear,
Another member went poof in the fog.

Home, home on the blogs,
where I laugh, while I consume all my grog,
Just ask me how, it was killed by a cow,
and my silence will scream in the fog.

(This is just a cute little verse, to add to the OP. Any resemblance to any specific person, real or not, is totally unintentional and a pity. I wrote it in a state of stupor,,,so do I have to give credit or a shout out to Jack Daniels? OH,,, just did. Nevermind.)

You are not allowed to comment on some blogs due to the blogger's comment settings, everyone has that choice. Remember that when someone looks at your profile, they will see the blog tab. The blogger may not want other's comments attached to their profile.

I am not sure why you feel unwelcome. That doesn't make sense at all.

Hey Gr8 I recently wasn't allowed a comment about the Electric Car so I made my own blog. Don't let that get ya down or feel unwelcome, just get some bawls, well in my case, ummmmm well get somethin' lol, and do it anyways. Cuz I knew I had a point that the Electric car wasn't a hoax, it's real and I wanted to let others know that weren't really aware. Seems many knew much more than I did even, and glad it's out there. So, don't let it worry ya nun. PS, I do know how to spell haha, aced English in college, I just love how ya don't have to here in blogland. tc Lost

I think ever how one feels about blogland here on this site brings that feeling on themselves. Honestly, I don't feel real welcomed to be posting my comment on your blog, but I simply could not resist when I read this:
And to apease the plagerism narc,

Thanks so much for giving credit where credit is due!

I posted that in a blog that had positive energy.
I feel that blog land lacks that energy far to often when it comes to those outside the mainstream

Yes, and I for one and many others aren't fond of that setting...far too often it is just there so bloggers can keep opposing views out..that is their choice, their right. I just think it makes for a bland forum....but this being 'blogs's' not 'forums' I am stuck with it.

I am not sure why you feel unwelcome. That doesn't make sense at all.

If one isn't in the "in crowd" believe me, they don't feel welcome when they make a comment and the blogger chooses to not post it....it aggravates me when I pour my heart on in a comment and the blogger deletes it.......ok, poor, poor pitiful me
My point is, it was much more fun when multiple comments were allowed instead of the stale way it is now.

I wish we could discuss this in here right now but sadly only one comment is allowed
I suppose this could continue in the forums, but I would like it to be in here

As it is.....I am having to discuss it in emails...that is even worse. I thank all for their comments, agreeing or disagreeing

Gr8...you always speak what you feel at the moment...no *sheep* mentality....and you don't try to bash others...

To me...it puts you above many in here...and very much welcome...

A blog's author can post comments for those who have already posted. Easy.

This blog is too obtuse for me. Is it strait feelings, irony or satire. Does it mean what it says, the opposite, or play on some other blog.

This blog iand commentss arrifting into the fog.

Ps My dog can't sniff out the meaning either.

Seems to be too much 'sheep doo' in blogland and people have tired of stepping over it...of course if you are one of the 'sheep' you enjoy stepping in your master's doo so it's doesn't seem to be a problem for the followers of the herder!

To offer another perspective.....I've always prided (is that a word?) myself on being separate from the 'in-crowd'. From the time I was a small child, my theme song has been Sammy Davis' rendition of I've gotta be me. It's not always greeted with open acceptance by others, but that's their problem---not mine

Whether I'm right or whether I'm wrong
Whether I find a place in this world or never belong
I gotta be me, I've gotta be me
What else can I be but what I am

I want to live, not merely survive
And I won't give up this dream
Of life that keeps me alive
I gotta be me, I gotta be me
The dream that I see makes me what I am

That far-away prize, a world of success
Is waiting for me if I heed the call
I won't settle down, won't settle for less
As long as there's a chance that I can have it all

I'll go it alone, that's how it must be
I can't be right for somebody else
If I'm not right for me
I gotta be free, I've gotta be free
Daring to try, to do it or die
I've gotta be me

I'll go it alone, that's how it must be
I can't be right for somebody else
If I'm not right for me
I gotta be free, I just gotta be free
Daring to try, to do it or die
I gotta be me

Listen, Hon. Why let it bother you? Most people enjoy your blogs and your comments to blogs. Don't let a few bad apples spoil the barrel. On the other hand...mmmmmmm....apple wine sounds good to me!

It is the choice of the blogger whether or not to allow certain comments or any comments at all. I personally would not block any type of comment.........good or bad, but that's me. Many of us feel the same way, I'm sure.

I do agree that multiple comments were more fun and interesting. No matter what MD does here is not going to satisfy all of us. It might be interesting, though, to once in a while have a survey where we could all partake in voting about particular issues..........and the majority win.

Now, Gr8.....Welcome to Blogland!

I'm sorry you don't feel welcome. Perhaps things have changed a little around here for you and you need to give it a little time to settle. When I returned here after a while I was so bored I wrote a blog about how boring blogland had become with varying degrees of response. I don't feel that way at all now and it's only a couple of months down the line. If you said exactly what it is you're missing perhaps some here could help. I don't know what else to say. All I know is, there's bad feeling here sometimes but it usually goes away, there ARE nice people here and they usually shine through.

And that my friend.... is one of the "keys" as I have shared with you. That and how I simply blog as way of expressing who I am... not seeking approval, nor asking for advice... just pondering.
