I really liked the term "political atheist" that was used recently. After watching the last couple of years before the election, I got my fill of political agenda. I think I can officially classify myself as a political atheist.
I am so relieved the the Bush era has near come to an end.
Well I guess until I hear Obama is actually sworn in I won't count on Bush really being gone. I never did trust anything about him. When I heard they tried passing legislation on the 6th to abolish the two term limit rule it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. That coupled with the mass amount of security in place for tomorrow and republicans slinking out of DC like a bunch of rats scurrying off a sinking ship, it all gave me the willies. I am still not sure what I think about all that, but I noticed it...things that make you go hmmmmm.
Now about Obama. I hope he can pull it off. Personally I think he has been so set up for failure. I think the elite have wined him and dined him and have pulled out all the stops to make him feel welcome on Capitol Hill. (As far as I am concerned it is the most corupt place on the planet these days.)
What I really hope is after the brew ha is over and the enormity of the mess that was left for him sets in, he will see past the facade of the coruption of the corperations, and drop kick their asses out of there. I do think there is enough "street kid" in him to see past the song and dance of Corperate America runs the show.
What I fear is they will wait for the other 350 billion to be released, suck it up, and then pull the rug out from under him and dump the market. Then they would have thier scapegoat.
What we really need more than big corperations, is alot of small businesses growing to medium size business that can start putting some real jobs and some real value into this economy.
Here is hoping I am wrong, and he will take the ball and run with it. Maybe even dump a few of those corperate leaches that have been sucking the life out of this nation.

I am so relieved the the Bush era has near come to an end Thank the Lord above.
Capitol Hill corrupt - I definitely agree. In my opinion, if we knew what was really going on maybe people would finally get fighting mad, and not roll over, and play dead.
I really hope that President Obama will not be an orchestrated puppet and make a difference. He has a lot on his plate, but the people voted for change and I hope there will be changes that people are actually expecting, for once.
Excellent Blog!

Excellent... I think many have the same hopes and wants, although we are all different within our tastes and moral beliefs, we all have the common backdrop of democracy, however, jaded it may be by the ever looming darkness of a corrupt capitalism. These small businesses you speak of are the heart beat of the country, without them, all is lost. There is a great film, "The Corporation", I am not sure if you have seen it but you might like to if you have not. The expelling of the, "Gold Standard" from which our monetary system was based was the last true indicator of financial worth. The new system, invited mostly through the Nixon and instilled even further throughout the past 50 years, "Fractional-Reserve" must be abolished. It came from corruption through corrupt minds. Trying to instill within the "FREE" people of America that through the demands of loans, money can be materialized in thin air is a farce and only enslaving Americans to barely get by. Lots to do in order to make this country right again...I have "hope" for without it, there is only loss!! Thank you for sharing this great piece, jayej Peace to you and yours, Tobey

I agree with with a few points of your blog. But, I had a good laugh, when you hoped Obama has a little "street kid" left in him. He has been privatre schooled and gone to Harvard. I am sure any street smarts have been washed away with ass kissin 101.
I AM NOT PUTTING THE MAN DOWN. I think people are putting alot of faith into 1 man. It is scary to think, things are so bad, people think one person can cure all the problems. I think he can start things in the right direction. But, I feel it is gonna take 10 yrs. to get us back on track.....

I tend to agree with Imposter, it's the Congress that makes the bills and gets them to the Presidents desk as it's always been. One man cannot rule the country and make all the decisions without the Congress passing decent bills and the last eight years were the pitts IMHO. Along with natural catastrophies, wars, and attacks on our land, lets just hope our new President has it a lot easier than Bush, maybe things can get back on track. Obama is only going to be allowed to do as much as the Congress will allow or his hands will be tied just as any President's are sad to say. I say get Congress's azz in gear. Take care Lost

AMMUNITION ACCOUNTABILITY LEGISLATION....
It has already started...
Ammunition Accountability Legislation
Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!
The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all amm unition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.
Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!
If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!
This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!
To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to: http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm

The big crunch is going to come down pretty quickly on the taxpayer...so everyone may as well brace themselves. If you noticed he is already calling for the american taxpayer to 'sacrifice'...which usually means more taxes, less everything else so they can beef up the government...just what we need now....NOT!

I really hope that President Obama will not be an orchestrated puppet and make a difference. He has a lot on his plate, but the people voted for change and I hope there will be changes that people are actually expecting, for once. I wonder what most people are expecting. The campaign was devoid of most anything except generalized statements,,,, "we have to support the children",,,"we need to have hope",,,,"it is time for a change",,,,
About the only thing concrete I can remember is that he has promised to expand government, and give away money.
Perhaps that is what people are expecting,,,, a check, free services, governement responsiblity for the things they have not been able to exercise self control over,,,
and are those not the exact things that got us into this mess.
