That damn Internet is getting me drunk tonight. Yeah, I can blame the net this time because it wasn’t my idea.
It seems that Dancer has been spending a little time on my network lately and somewhere along the line she heard of a certain drink and asked me about it. Interesting that she has never sampled it before because I felt quite sure she would like it a lot. But then, she’s not a big drinker, so I guess that may be understandable.
How the hell that came up is beyond me, but it did. Now she mentioned that her friend La (and another?) really like this drink, so she has heard of it before.
Now, lest we get the whole of Ireland upset, I’ll wait a while before naming this special drink. Mostly, in these parts, we think of it as a woman’s drink. But, I don’t mind admitting that I kind of like sipping a little of it, too, on occasion.
Anyway, Dancer’s interest caused us to make a special trip over to the local liquor store for a fifth. No problem, though, because I felt certain that Dancer would enjoy the new experience.
And, the truth is, she does! Already tonight I’ve seen Baileys over rocks, Baileys with milk, Baileys with whipped cream, and Baileys with a special coffee mix will be coming up soon. Oh, and lets not forget my suggestion of Baileys over ice cream, which I think she may be considering.
Yeah, I felt sure Dancer would like Baileys, but didn’t know that this almost teetotaler would be drinking it like Kool Aid! But, that’s okay. We only have a fifth . . . and I’m drinking a little of it, too.
Problem is, she was also asking me about some of the crème drinks, like crème de menthe, crème de cocoa, etc, etc. I think that those better wait for other weekends, though. We wouldn’t want Dancer’s first experience with Baileys to be remembered as causing a hangover the next day.
So La and friends -- wherever you may be -- let it be known that, on this evening, Dancer is getting her first taste of Baileys and liking it a lot. Let’s just hope I’m not corrupting her and starting her on bad habits. . . . . Or worse yet, contributing to more wild and hair-brained ideas for the night than she normally has. If you’ve read our other blogs, you may know that things can get rather interesting around here at times. I can’t hide the Baileys, but I may later feel a need to make a few things around here disappear for the night. She does, after all, seem to have an inordinate interest in some unusual things. And, well, the Baileys could stimulate more of that in a novice drinker -- and the night’s still young. . . .
p.s. Y’all might want to ask Fender about those wings Dancer was making the other night. I just heard mention of them again . . . and we’re on the seventh floor here!

OMG - I LOVE Baileys....and, I'm not a drinker....BUT...it's so delicious and so smooth that, with cream, it doesn't even seem like alcohol.....until ya try to get up and walk...
Hey, if Dancer wants to try some other delicious "stuff" like that, just tell her to get in touch...I'm the queen of all those pink drinks and green drinks, and yellow drinks, and a fantastic one I recently discovered...with "Meduri Melon".
Can wait to see what adventure you two think up next....Ya didn't cook the wings in Baileys, did ya?
I'm sending the kudo gently, so the sound of it whizzing by doesn't give her a headache.
Fondly,
KK
