It totally amazed me that despite MD's request to post jokes in the JOKE FORUM and not as blogs, we still have people doing it. However, this year it has taken on a new twist... repeating your old jokes seems to be the new vogue, as duplicates or deleting the first one and blogging it over again.
I don't see the point. Unless you think readers of your jokes (disguised as blogs) are suffering from Alzheimer's and haven't seen or heard your old jokes before, then the joke is on you.

Good thinking Chatillion !
I think I will post my next blog in one of the the chat rooms.
But that will take so much space, the chatters might move to the forums.
You appear to be able to write a blog. Not everybody can.
Better to joke than to choke ! (Original Ttomtarrism)

Golly gosh gee whiz, Chat-Man! Did ya ever think that perhaps the folks' with Alzheimer's are the ones that keep repeating the old, worn out jokes? I think that would 'splain them rather well.
Stay tuned...same Chat-Time, same Chat-Channel!

Just because they are old to you doesn't mean everyone has seen them before plus not all of us have time to go through every catagory. I enjoy peoples thoughts, jokes, poems ... it's all good.

Well by golly do ya mean someone is keepin' score. That's one joke for you and two for me and none for you. Can't we all just "do our own thing"? Some of us are of the age that we can remember just wanting to "do our own thing". Who says I have to write serious blogs? Who says I have to tell jokes? If I don't tramp on your toes, then what do you care? What does anyone care? When do I get to do what I want to do without someone always dictating?
I think this site needs a Nazi forum. In there someone can be the dictator and others can be the ones who love to be dictated to. Knock yourselves out.
As long as someone follows the established rules, then leave them alone.
Just my opinion.

As long as someone follows the established rules, then leave them alone. The judgemental people, the "Comment will wait for Approval" folk, all the rules (rules were meant to be broken), that nasty emails I get if I make a comment, the two faced people that write such sweet blog but show their true side in emails...ugh, Blog land is not all it is built up to be. If one is not in the little clique of blog writers in here, one soon finds out there is much anger behind the writers..............what the bleep is wrong with a joke?? And some of us don't read the blogs everyday or scroll back and read blogs from earlier in the day...there is already to much negative stuff from the regulars in here, too much of the blog police...I am sure many are happy that they have run me off with their nasty emails....enjoy your little club everyone.
What a joke blog land has become.

Repeat my own joke? No lost... again, you didn't get it. It took all of 3 minutes to find repeats of cut & paste jokes from other bloggers... some members actually had duplicates in their profiles.
How lazy (or rude) is that? I don't have any new cut & paste jokes... so, I'll just cut & paste some old ones so I can get my face on the blog page.
I think they have an award for that.

gr8to, if you ever have had an 'all comments approved' blog that turned into an all out WAR while you were asleep, you'd have your blogs set to 'on approval' as well. It's not fun to wake up to find that a few people exploded all over your blog and you weren't online to monitor it.
Chat, I've given up trying to remind people what the Mods around here have said in the past. It's just not worth it. Now I poke my head in, read a few (very few) blogs, check my 'watched' forum threads and my emails....
...and then I go back to Facebook where it's drama free.

Many people don't understand what a blog is. It's not a forum or a chat room. It's simply an extension of your profile to give people an insight on who you are.
Unlike a forum or a chat room, a blog is under the control of it's creator and should be able to stand alone without comments. People who take offense about "comment approval" needs to realize this.
