Yes, I believe I am now afraid to post a blog. Why you say? Even though I have been through college and taken courses in Creative Writing and English I worry I might not be up to the standards set forth by the "experts" here. Maybe my sentence structure is not perfect. I might have run on sentences. Maybe my punctuation is incorrect. My blog might not be for everyone or maybe it might not be interesting enough. Maybe I might get nasty emails. I might not spell all my words right. I might hurt someone's feelings or maybe someone might not like my sense of humor or my poem or wit. Today I might be upset and my feelings are hurt, I need some comfort and I feel I wish to reach out to some friends but where are they? Oops, that's a no no too. Maybe, even though I'm alone here, have no family and would like some answers or maybe just a little support or a prayer or just some conversation in the form in a blog I have to be just so careful to make sure this punctuation meets everyone's approval so I don't get run down and criticized. Maybe I just want to be silly. Well the hell with it, I'm just going to think about one of my favorite Elvis songs and write anyway I want  : And Do it My Way. Lost

Good for you! I wrote a blog about this late last night, made up a fictional blogger that was trying to take over MD by using there creative writing~*~..Well about 3 minutes later someone {a few blogs down assumed it was about him } and
wrote a bullchit blog and targeted me..it was just a maching, joking of all the things yourself pointed out. So i just deleted the dam thing...Yes, DO IT YOUR WAY and good luck

  blog away lost, i have always reading youre blogs, you have a unique way with words  when i first joined i set back and read blogs, and thought to myself  im not going to fit in here, but the more i read the more interesting it was to me, so i just jumped in, so what if im not as good as others, im not here for any trophys/contest  i write what i feel whats on my mind things in my life,food all sorts of things  kudos for you

Don't worry about it...I took Print Journalism and I spell words wrong, use the wrong punctuation and too may apostrophes...I like it that way...I can tell your a natural blogger just like me

There are a few that already wish he would never have wandered into the forums.
So you just blog away. if "they" (whoever "they" are) don't like it then you know what I always say..."They don't have to read it".

I used to get straight A's in English classes (even at the university level), wrote for a local newspaper and yet I'd rather read blogs about poopheads, snot nosed brats, and general blogs that make no sense, either because of spelling errors, run-on sentences, or just plain stupidity. Why? Nobody SHOULD be grading us now, we're out of school.

Woohoo, no grading, no test, sos I can blog as I wish. Kool. Now that I know many don't care as long as I get the point across, I am hoping others that might have been discouraged by critics here will come back and blog on. Those that are busy criticizing should just lay off and let people blog as they wish, I think the vote is unanoumous (did I spell that right) haha. Lost

However, if ya REALLY wanna know....I enjoy reading whatever you post...
The thought is often more important than the spelling...and, don't "ferget" it!

That type of person can find fault with anything you write.
Even if you read their mind and wrote exactly what they would
approve of, they would change the rules in mid millisecond and
criticize you based on their new rules, since they NEVER have
rules that apply to themselves. This is because their whole
mission in life is to make every one else WRONG so they can
pretend that they are RIGHT.
So, NEVER write things trying to please others. That course of action
is doomed to failure. Write what you FEEL, it helps us understand and
appreciate YOU.

I am English, so my spelling is English, not American English, do I worry?.. not a jot.
My blogs arent maticulously written, but I didn't realise that blogland was a writing competition either.. so with that in mind, I dont care what people think of them.

I love reading any blogs you write, imlost.......as well as any comments to blogs. You're always so sweet about it. You say what you feel, and you carry on to the next one.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with your blog writing. But then, I find nothing wrong with the way that anybody writes their blogs. This is not school. We made it through that...........

As you've pointed out before, this isn't a writer's site. There are no competitions here except in some people's tiny minds. Your blog is your blog, it's an extension of your profile and something that tells people a little more about you. What you write is up to you. Write whatever makes you happy or whatever you want to get off your chest. Just enjoy yourself and if they don't like it, that's their problem.

Well it seems we've lost another blogger due to comments and negativity and he felt he needed to leave the site. It's a shame because he was a nice person and was always positive and thought about peace and happiness. Guess some couldn't deal with it and had to wish him bad luck and didn't want him here, so whomever that was, your wish came true and now he is gone. Lost

I am so glad that all of you have supported me in blogging and appreciate your comments. However, I have now become the subject of another blogger here just as I mentioned here. I hope this doesn't happen to you as it isn't a lot of fun and this type of blogging should be condemned. It was all over a simple question on another blog which doesn't even belong to a blog or relate to myself. Or considering the fact that the blog is about "observations" of other bloggers and how they blog, insults, and how they crave attention etc. maybe this writer does want the attention. Take care Lost
