A couple of nights ago, I posted a blog entitled "Blog, blog, blog....."
At the end of the blog I said:
What is my intent, you ask? I'll leave it up to you to decide. It has since come to my attention that some people totally misunderstood my intent & I would like to take this opportunity to clarify myself.
First and foremost, I did NOT post that blog in support of violating ANY of MatchDoctor’s rules OR good blogging etiquette.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love coming to MD to make friends & have a good time. I enjoy the laughter, the tears & even the some times serious discussions I have with my friends & acquaintances here. That said, however, I always do my best to participate within the guidelines that have been set forth by this site.
I hear someone laughing out there.
Yes, I’ve been known to break a rule or two in my time here and yes, I have been reprimanded. And whether anyone chooses to believe it or not, I didn’t intentionally break the rules. No, I am not one who agrees with “we don’t need no stinkin’ rules!” I believe rules are made for a reason & that any venue I choose to participate in, I must abide by those rules. When & if those rules become too constraining for me, I will leave said venue to either find another to better fit my needs or I’ll do without. It all seems pretty pure & simple to me.
MatchDoctor’s blogging guidelines & rules seem pretty easy to follow to me. A lot is left unsaid, I believe, because common courtesy should dictate appropriate behavior. I won’t get into what I personally deem “common courtesy” or “appropriate behavior” because I am smart enough to know I would only be damned for it by somebody. However, much as it’s courteous or appropriate to say “thank you” or “please” certain things just should not be questioned or second guessed.
That’s it for me on this go ‘round, folks. Sorry to feel the need to touch upon this subject again…as it’s about been blogged to death, but as always, tomorrow is another day! Happy blogging!

well said Missy!
I think we both have been slapped by triangles enough to know, that nobody is exempt from the guidelines!
I guess someday, if I ever own a site of my own, I can choose what I will or will not allow. Until then, I am a guest of someone elses site, and will respect their guidelines........ ( well, most of the time )
I have known you for 5 years. You speak truth, and your mind, all in the same sentences. You call a spade a spade, and you even have fun.....
what more could anyone ask for on a website than just what you have always lived by.......... honesty and reality!

I don't blog here anymore...when I did, I felt like I just walked into a Star Trek convention...
But....like watching a tornado rip through a mobile home park in Oklahoma....I can't help but look and shake my head.
(Notice I didn't say giggle....I'm softening up)
Good Luck!

Just read both blogs ... I think you made your points very well but doubt everyone will listen. People do whatever people want to do it seems ... which is sad when it's such a well designed site ... and if they don't like it, there's always the other place where there doesn't appear to be any rules at all.
It is also true that rules are made to be broken and I think Matchdoctor allows us enough slack to do what adults want to do as long as they don't behave like children.
It might be advisable to limit your blogging Missliss, when it comes to certain issues on this site a prolific blogger can get worn out saying the same thing over and over again.
Having said that, blog on Baby ... and please don't feel pressured to always write something positive, life just aint like that ... nothing bugs me more than a happy clappy on a mission!
