Reflecting upon Dr. Zhivago....the music reverberates through my ears to my heart, soul, and very essence of my being.....it disturbs my heartstrings that pluck each string of could be..no won't be...well maybe....yet to be...should be...never again to be.......creating such sweet yet tearful memories that are heard by only me..... He looked into mine eyes and sang so sweetly from his memory of the Beatles in his best falsetto to be John himself...Imagine if all the people....would be dreamers....and let their dreams be known.....if we could share the truth within us with no fear of rejection.....condemnation....let love be pure....innocent without barbed thoughts of our differences.... Does he really understand the words of John Lennon when he sang,"The only thing you can't hide is when you're crippled inside...."
Among all the snow, ice, cold as in the Russian countryside...we have been experiencing weather just as extreme and unfamiliar to some recently ...yet what about the frozen responses of the heart? The recent economic failures of capitalized organizations and change of power to be so liken unto that in Dr. Zhivago where the "private life is dead....feelings, insights, affections,.......history has killed it" and so it is with mine....my private life...among our new history...just when we should be leaning on each other and sharing resources... and living while we can with what we can.....
So....I must bury this old love...old hopes..dreams..desires....for our history is dead....and what is so sad..he never realized what a treasure he actually had.... he could have had inherited my house, land, as well as being alive with pleasures that two people can share when no discrimination is crippling the emotions one is fearful of feeling ,,,,and free to express without guilt because of society's judgement..even if only in his mind......his greed to have what he used to have in his younger days and refusal to acknowledge his own aging has lost him more than he will find....trading a diamond for some flashing rhinestones....
.............but.... after all this snow, ice,.... heart break.... ...........somewhere..my love.. ...................is waiting for me. ................and I shall be free to run to him when he calls.....
...........It shall be spring once more! Watch here to see the old cold love pass away to be renewed with spring...

The hopes that return with the spring from the frozen winter ar some of life's best feelings.
One of my favorite pieces of music is Ravel's Russian Easter Overature, a musical celebration of the end of winter, and the renewal of life and Spring. It says in music what you just said in words.
One kudo for a great expression of a beautiful sentiment.

The pictures in the 'Lara's Theme' video were absolutely breathtaking, fran. Winter is beautiful........it's just too long.
Sometimes are choices in partners are wrong. We just need to keep searching for that one who is right.

So....I must bury this old love...old hopes..dreams..desires....for our history is dead....and what is so sad..he never realized what a treasure he actually had.... I have had a few of these funeral services... maybe I'm too cold-blooded, but I always found I could reduce the grief with a Ben Franklin table ... one side of the list the good, and the other the bad, crying where appropriate.
More than once it's saved me from going back... pull out the list ... "Oh, sheet, YEAH, I remember this now...!!!"

Dr. Zhivago is one of my favourite movie and the wonderful Lara's theme bring back the scenes from that film over and over. Over and over the film focuses of rebirth of many kinds, and is a wonderful film for that reason alone. It is so wonderful to see that your heart is still open to love again, my friend. My hope is that one day soon you shall be visited by that wellspring of love again, and have your faith renewed. Hugs Michael.

Thank you for this little journey through your feelings. Unfortunately, some never know what they've got till it's gone and by the time they realise, it's too late. I've yet to meet anyone whose life has been without some heartache and upheaval, presumably the reasons for this present themselves when the journey comes to an end ... if not sooner if we care to look a little deeper. In the meantime, all we can do is take each day moment by moment. None of us know what the future will bring, we just have to believe we will find what we're looking for, or it will find us, because we deserve it.
