My blog is prompted by another because of women and men's fashion these days. I watched a program about a tailor by the name of Jack Taylor. He was famous for his men's fashions where he designed them specially for men his entire life way into his 90's. It was a pretty interesting biography. Most women's clothing is designed by men. The dresses worn at the all the Awards Banquets and famous women are designed by men. The sexy, backless, low cut fronts, and little left to the imagination dresses are designed by men. So the styles of today where the experts in the field of design tell women, "Hey, we know what looks good on you", we are the experts, and women follow their direction, because they believe they know what they are talking about, who is to blame when some don't like what women wear? Most of what you see in the stores are all designed by men as they seem to know what they like to see on women. Sure there are females in the field, but according to the show I watched, most famous designers in clothing are men. You can tell by just watching the awards and how they announce this dress was made by this man or that man. You hardly hear any women's name ever. So tell me, when today's women are out in today's world wearing today's design, by today's men, who get's the credit? Just an idea. Take care Lost

I believe that women dress like they want to dress and in what makes a statement to them as individuals....Men may design these dresses we see on TV, but what kind of men are they....
Each of us (men included) should dress as we feel free to do and also for the comfort of ourselves in the climate in which we live.
Our life styles vary and our needs and wants are not all the same....
As far as dressing sexy or too sexy, that I believe is in the eye of the beholder and the person wearing the particular outfit... What may think of as being tooooo sexy someone else may think it is modess....

Are women designing men's "fashions" and that's why women
claim men HAVE no fashion sense?

I don't really care who designs women's clothes just as long as there is a short hemline and thigh-high slit...and remember: either in a skirt or dress, nylons sez it best!
