Well its that time of year again for me…YEPS I AM another year older

Well a lot of people I have spoken to about age etc seem to worry about another year added to their lifeline hehehehe but not me…I have always been one to cherish what I have you see as I have lost three members of my immediate family already in my YOUNG YEARS so it kind of teaches you to live for the day and savour all that it throws at you BUT I have got to say the last few days have been an absolute mind field for me as I have had a real LOT to think on for sure

My beautiful daughter was knocked down by a motorbike early Friday morning….I cannot even begin to tell you what getting that phone call was like…I don’t even want to try and make you understand because I am sure that the majority of you especially if you are parents yourself, you would most certainly be able to comprehend the HORROR of it but I WILL say this…it is most certainly something I would NEVER wish on anyone…not even an enemy……and I never EVER want to receive a call like it again

She has come out of it with a broken arm and she is battered black and blue…but she survived and for this I am forever grateful to whatever angels were watching over her when that bike hit her…..she was so lucky…It could have been so VERY MUCH worse….and I will never NAG her again about the BIG bag that she carries around with her with everything in it but the kitchen sink as this is what saved her from a serious head injury when she landed as her head landed on the bag. (like I said there was definitely an angel watching over her….they may not have been able to avoid the accident but they tried their best to make it a little easier on her)

Now I would normally be out tonight partying my butt off with family and friends, celebrating another year in this wonderful thing called LIFE, which indeed I did have planned and about right now I should be boogying my bootie off in a club in London…but I am not….I was able to bring my daughter home this evening and I have her all tucked up in her bed and I have absolutely no intention or inkling to want to be any where else than where I am right now…..my baby is home…(she would normally bash me for calling her my baby as she is 18 ) albeit battered and bruised but she is home and safe once again within these four walls…..The BEST birthday present I could ever have wished for …..so all I will say is HOLD your babies as close to you as you can…cause that’s what I plan to do every day that I am able to…because sometimes you just never know what is around THAT corner to make you realise THAT LIFE IS ALL TOO PRECIOUS and sometimes it can easily slip from your fingers when you are least expecting it.

So when I wish upon a star from now on I am going to wish THAT every child has that ‘Special’ angel to watch over them when we as parents cannot, like mine did and I ask that everyone with a heart does the same.
