Hello dear friends & acquaintances of MD. I hope this finds you doing well, & that you've enjoyed your weekend. It seems Winter's icy grip just will not let go up here, despite March coming in like a lamb. After a heavy sleet storm last week that deposited a 1/4" or so of crusty ice on the surfaces of cars, sunny but cold weather followed. Highs these past 2 days have barely gotten to 20, & lows @ night are 3-8 above zero.

I received word this morning from my mom that they had gotten a call from my cousin Gary, who had gotten a call from the rehabilitation center that my uncle Orville is in stating to come as quick as possible, that Orville had a terrible night & was on his way out. I don't know what it was related to as of yet, or just exactly how long he has to live... it could be hours, it could be days, but given the amount of pain & anguish he's been under, right now I just pray for his faith & for comfort until the time does come. My other cousin, Mike, from Virginia Beach is expected in this afternoon. He will FINALLY be moving my uncle Harold & aunt Kathleen to assisted living, which is attached to the nursing home they are in now. His visit is to also get valuables out of their house I have been looking after, & to get the ball rolling to get the proper papers signed, & take inventory of what in the house is junk, & what actually has worth. Harold is in wonderful spirits knowing he can have a place to call his own again with a few familiar items from home. Health wise he's come a long ways in 6 months, & they have stabilized his low blood pressure issue, after 3 falls which caused him broken ribs, the skin pulled back on his wrists, & a bump to the head. He walks with the aid of one of those colored chrome walkers on wheels that serves as a walker, a seat, & even has a basket underneath to "hide the loot" as he put it. His wife Kathleen is stable. It's doubtful she'll walk again, but she seems happy when I see her, & she recognizes me each time I visit. So, this coming week I'll be helping Mike however I can with his folks house. Any & all prayers are appreciated, in whatever way or form you feel is best. I thank you all for your thoughts & concern. This MD family is one I wouldn't trade for all the gold in Ft. Knox. *HUGS & FOOTRUBS* ladies.. *HANDSHAKES* guys..
