Duvvy took me fishing in salt water for the first
time Thursday! I had so much fun, he took me again
Friday!

I have never liked fishing. Oh I'd go, I'd bait my
own hook, and drop it in the water.But I would soon
get bored, and start reading a book. Thursday, I
didn't even do that. I went shell hunting. It wasn't
a good day for shells, so I came back to where he was
fishing, and started reading my book.

He decided to go farther down the sea wall after a while
of no luck where we were. He came back really soon, and
told me I might want to come down there, as there were
dolphin playing next to the bridge.

Didn't take me long to hot foot it down there! OH MY!
What a beautiful sight! Daddy Dolphin, Mama Dolphin, and
Baby Dolphin. Just popping up so gracefully, and back
down feeding. They stayed there about 30' - 40' from us
for a couple hours. It was amazing.

It was the first time I had ever seen them in the wild.
I also did a little walking around in the rocks there. I
found some kind of crab. I yelled at Duvvy to come and
identify it for me. He came over, it was a Horseshoe crab. He tried to pick it up
with his pliers... OH NO! There were two of them, and they
were... YOU KNOW! ~gasp~

The next amazing sight, (to me) was a baby stingray
swimming by. They look like they are flying. Again, a
beautiful creature.

I finally did fish a little, and I LIKED it! Duvvy caught
a Lady Fish,threw it back. He said the meat is mushy,
and they are full of bones. We had lots of bites, but nothing
commited.

We ended up not getting home until 12:30 AM.

Not long after we got up on Friday, he asked me if I
wanted to go fishing again. "YES! But only if I can
have my own pole." So we got ready, went to the store
and he bought me my very own brand new fishing pole! I LOVE IT!
He has created a monster!

We didn't have a lot of luck on Friday either, but
it sure was fun. Duvvy caught those poor horseshoe
crabs, and YES, they were STILL doing "IT"! He also
caught a stingray. Bigger than the one we seen the night
before. I was having a fit, the poor guy. But Duvvy said
the hook didn't hurt his mouth, as they eat oysters and
such. He sure was cool looking. Again first time I have
ever seen one up close and personal.

We won't mention how I lost my footing on the rocks and
fell in the water, or how sore my arm is from casting
my new pole so many times. It was after 3:00 AM when we got home.

I now LOVE fishing! I LOVE Florida! I LOVE MY DUVVY!
