I need some. I want some. I am here to tell you, I need and want some right now! I really do. I haven't had any for four days! I am craving it so badly.....I can almost taste it. It warms me to the very core of my being just thinking about getting some. Some people can and do live without it for months at a time. I just can't. I am sorry. I am just one of the many of the people who yearn for it on a daily basis. I can't seem to get enough of it! I have to have it at least once a day.....every day....even if it is only for a small amount of time. I shudder just at the thought of getting some. I am beside myself. I don't know what to do! I surely don't know how much longer I can survive without getting any. I can not live without it! Please, please, please........give me some NOW!
I do soooo need some sunshine! The sun has been hiding, like I said, for four long days. Last night, it started pouring down rain, and it has not quit. Okay, it did melt quite a bit of the snow. The rain and the very high winds together are doing a great job of that. Only inches of snow to melt now.......instead of feet. But.......I really need some sunshine.
I did not realize that it was slippery this morning until I reached the city. I parked up a hill to walk to the post office to pick my sister's mail up......and slid sideways all the way down it. I did very well. I didn't think I could do that anymore. It's amazing how fear can keep my body so rigid. Once coming to a stop, I needed to take baby steps the rest of the way so as not to fall and hurt my tailbone again...(remember the blog about the cat?)....or any other parts. I wisened up some when walking back up the hill. I walked in the middle of the street where the city had sanded. It was just a short trek from there to my car. Needless to say, I made it without making a spectacle of any sort.
In all my years, I have yet to see what I saw this morning. It was pouring down rain, but the branches on the trees were covered with ICE! It was only twenty-five degrees, so the rain was freezing on everything as soon as it hit anything...........including me. I really should have stopped to take a picture, but I was already so wet and so cold, I just wanted to get to work where I knew it would be toasty warm. Furthermore, we witches tend to melt when wet. Help me! I'm melting.......
Well, according to the weather forecast, it is supposed to be exactly like this for at least all of this week. I could just puke. The only thing good right at this time is it's getting late.....and dark....so I don't expect to see any sunshine right now. Hope you're all enjoying yours....and please! Save some for me.
I'll leave you with this song.........by the late GREAT John Denver.....May he be Resting In Peace.
Sunshine On My Shoulders by John Denver
Sunshine almost always makes me high.......
Have a splendid evening!

Having gone over the comment limit by bungling my first comment, I ask the blogger to post:
You have spread enough sunshine over some of my dark days, that I owe you some, quite a bit actually. So I have leased a fleet of 42 (count 'em) semitractor trailor rigs, loaded them with North Florida (cleanest kind) Sunshine, and dispatched them to you. They should arrive at any moment.
Now, Miss Summer Breeze, is there anything else your little heart desires ?

Well, gf, we had another gorgeous few days here in eastern NC...HOWEVER, I recall just a couple/three weeks ago, we had days on end of gray, dreary, RAINY days. I felt the same as you. I have to share with you, too, that here in this area, we often get the freezing rain you described as getting today....very hazardous. Glad you didn't hurt yourself when you slid down the hill!

It is coming, summer. Friday was the 1st day of spring. You know the old sayings, March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb. April showers bring May flowers. Close your eyes and dream of the warm sun caressing your face, before you know it, summertime will be here. I'm looking forward to digging in the dirt and planting my garden. You will get some! Everyday gets us a little bit closer. Glad you kept your bum safe. I've come close to doing the sideways splits a few times this winter in our work parking lot. Hate to have start screaming,"Help, I've fallen and can't get up." Did fall once thanks to no lighting and mud. Lucky for me I landed in the grass. Thought to myself, if I yelled, would anyone hear me. Probably not, cause they all have Ipods crammed in their ears. I didn't melt, but I did give the maintenance guy hell for not replacing light bulbs, so I could see where I was walking. He even tried to cover up the mud with cement blocks. Poor job of repairing the pathway. Anyhoo, the bunnies are mating here, the cats are making horrible noises, daffodils are poking their heads up. Spring is almost here and the sun will shine on you soon.
