About a week ago my brothers neighbor, a single man, was found dead in his home from a heart attack. It was determined that he had been dead for eight days. His girlfriend being unable to reach him had gotten concerned and called his sister who in turn called local law enforcement to check on him. The smell of death was so bad the officer had to wear a mask to enter the house.
The man had two dogs as well that he kept in the house. They could exit and enter the house at will through a doggy door.
(Are you getting the picture?)
Of course as the mans flesh began to deteriorate it's the kind of smell that dogs love best. These beloved "pets" that so many treat as if they are human had eaten his face and any other exosed flesh. ( kinda reminds me of some women in a divorce court.) The dogs didn't go out and hunt their own food when they got hungry, they just ate their beloved "daddy".
The officer made another discovery as well which suddenly had the place swarming with cops...... they carried out over one hundred ' weed' plants the man had been growing in one of the rooms. Well now, if dogs were vegetarians they could have eaten the plants first and then sat around laughing like idiots when they got the munchies and devoured him.

The Red River Valley area in North Dakota may have a record flood this year and they are sandbagging like crazy to try stopping it. Some schools in North Dakota and Minnesota are giving kids time off to go help fill sandbags if they want. It seems that the Dakota's got a lot of that 'global warming' snowfall this year which is followed by rain. I wonder if they will be holding their hand out for federal disaster relief should it flood. The last time they flooded the State cleaned up their own mess, which is what States are supposed to do. While many are losing jobs all over the country by the way, North Dakota evidently knows how to run their State and actually have more jobs available than there are workers.

I admire the way Governor Sarah Palin runs the state of Alaska as well. What a novel idea she put into play there, taxing the oil companies and giving the money to the citizens to ease heating costs up there rather than taxing the people and giving the money to the oil companies! I smiled during the presidental campaign when the liberals were bashing her. Since she had an eighty percent popularity rating there (the highest in the country) I guess the liberals were really saying that eighty percent of Alaskans are idiots. Hey Alaska, remember that in 2012

That is a very sad story for that man. Worse yet that no one noticed his absence for eight days. Makes one wonder if you, yourself will be missed or your life worth anything to anyone doesn't it? It's how you live today that matters and never too late to make a change for the better. Even though this is a sad story there is a moral to the story. Both for the political side and human side, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Take care Lost

Makes you not want to buy a dog, ewwwww. That poor man. That must have been such a traumatic thing for his gf, I doubt I could have dealt with that.

I like Sarah Palin, I voted for her. Where I live in Connecticut, we are taxed to death. Whenever they need money, you guessed it, more taxes.

That is horrible Dave. I just about upchucked thinking about it. Here's to Sarah Palin and North Dakota. Maybe the rest of the states should take a looksee and see how they do it.
