Where the rainbow ends
Down where the road bends
There lived a sweet girl
The heavens did send

She waits for the day
For the glow just may
Take this sweet girl
And send her away

Her heart rests in her hand
Awaiting her love to land
Time passes, sweet girl
It passes like sand

Tears fall from her eyes
Her fate no surprise
No longer, sweet girl
Her wrinkles disguise

A knock on her door
Her heart drops to the floor
Could it be, sweet girl
She waits no more

Where the rainbow ends
Down where the road bends
There lives a sweet girl
With his love he did mend
