In a world where people could use and need love from one another, it is odd that we prefer the dog eat dog mentality. Think about how much better the world would be if people just had unconditional love for one another. Instead we allow greed, selfishness, anger, lust, violence and power to rule us. When people allow these things to rule them, it makes other people suffer.

When you have unconditional love for everyone, who suffers from that? Love helps those who suffer. Love makes you want to do good. The bible teaches us and shows examples of the results of doing good and not doing good. It gives us a set of rules to follow. Now whether you believe or follow God or not you have to admit, if everyone followed those rules then the world would lack suffering. People have chosen not to follow God's rules and then blame Him when our decisions have allowed others to suffer.

People suffer because greedy people take as much as they can and keep for themselves and they lack the care for those in need. People suffer because some resort to violence because that is the easy way out of a problem. People suffer because those who seek power hurt those in their way to get that power. People suffer because we have lust for the flesh and therefore get and spread deadly diseases. People suffer because we are selfish creatures who only care about ourselves and not of those who suffer. People suffer because hate and anger have replaced love and therefore we want and take joy in the suffering of others.

Now not everyone has or seeks these traits. There are some people in the world with unconditional love for their fellow mankind. The numbers however are just a small percentage compared to those who do not have unconditional love. And even though the battle continues to spread love, there are so few spreading that love that the otherside is clearly winning.

Even though evil is bad for us, we are seduced by it. It gets glamorized in pop culture to the point that many think it is strange if you don't follow along. You're the oddball because you care and spread love. It is like, 'get with the program, everyone else is doing it.' We have become slaves to sin. Sin rules us and love has been thrown out.

We are all in this life together. We only get one chance at this thing. Someday all of us will leave this earth. In the meantime we have to cope with one another. Wouldn't it be easier for all of us to cope with one another if we were ruled by love rather then other things that are not love? We all complain at some point how someone treated us unfairly, but then we forget that it was us too at some other point that treated someone unfairly as well. That is because when you live in a self absorbed world, only what happens to you matters and not what happens to others.

If people took the time and energy that they use to do evil and used it for love, imagine what the world would be like. Evil divides us and love makes us as one. Evil hurts us while love helps us. In the end we all lose because evil never has a good outcome. Love on the other hand always has a good outcome. Some will ask that since God is the all powerful, why doesn't He stop the suffering? God gave us freewill and therefore the power to choose good or evil. It is not God who allows people to suffer but rather people because we chose to ignore those who suffer. If God interfered then we as people would lose freewill and become like robots.

God is love and therefore the outcome will always be good when choosing love. Evil tempts you while love perfects you. That means God is perfect. Many of us who are materialistic, lustful, violent, greedy and angry don't see that because we are being too selfish in our pursuits to see there is a brighter way. When that happens we get people suffering in the world. Try love. It makes people feel good and doesn't cost a thing. With love people are as one. With evil we are divided.

ppl blame God for their sins and suffering, but God gave us all free will to do as we choose, so I can't blame him...dick cheney on the other hand, is the cause of much suffering in this world, and someday he will get his judgement day too.

Some people argue there is no such thing as unconditional love. This is close to the truth. We love our children in an unconditional way but that's about it. Those who claim to love unconditionally always have conditions. For instance, you don't love me unconditionally. If you did, you'd love the way I am and the way I disagree with your religeous stance. You'd see no reason whatsoever to change me because I would be perfectly lovable to you. The truth is, you only love and respect those who believe precisely as you do. I can respect your interest in furthering your beliefs and I can overlook your pride in it. I can allow you to believe you have the only true word of God to spread around. In this way, I can allow you more love than you allow me. I won't try to change who and what you are. This is my gift to you. Why not return this gift? I've led a pretty good life and I've done it without the hope of a Biblical heaven. God will tell me His true word in His own time. It won't come from a common man, even if he's a good one, because nobody knows God's word and His aims. And I'll wager I'm happier than the vast majority of church goers and my fate will be just as rewarding.

Sloriver -

I must disagree with you. I do love you unconditionally. I may not agree with everything you stand for, but that does not change my love for you. I do not care what your religious preference is, what your political party is or anything else you use to identify yourself as. I love everyone. I just might not like what they do. We all sin, so why would I hold that against anyone since I do it as well?

As far as religious stance goes, I do not hold that against anyone. I am not a religious man. I don't even go to church. My religion is the bible. I read it almost everyday. What other religion do I need? Everything I need to know is right there. There are many religions out there who don't see things as I do, that doesn't mean I don't love the people who are members of those religions. So I am not sure why you keep judging me and making accusations about me that I only respect and love those who see things as I do.

I don't try to change people. I don't go around preaching. What I do is write down my thoughts and beliefs for people to read. They can read them if they want or not, that is their choice. They can say I am full of nonsense or not, that is their choice. I do read the bible and I try to live my life as an example as to what God wants me to be. My blogs are there to make people think. Would I like people to know the joy I get from loving God? Absolutely! But if they don't, I am still going to love them. And despite your claims, I love you too.
