Fools Game
I looked around and saw the world, and saw each countries flags unfurled.
Children playing in the street, fields swelled with corn and wheat.
Air and sunshine clear and bright, people feeling safe at night.
Singing birds in every tree, babies on their daddys knee.
Forests where wild things abound, fertile soil all around.
Clear blue water covers earth, All of nature giving birth. ..............................................
I looked again and then I cried, at bolted doors where people hide.
Footprints on the countries flags starving children wearing rags.
Oily water everywhere, clouds of smog replacing air.
Soil parched from work and drought, parents throwing babies out!
Birds no longer flying by, missles threatening the sky.
Men are but senseless fools I fear, distroying what we hold so dear.
Since we're so clever let's just see man fix it like it used to be.
