I just wrote a blog about my dream job and why I feel so lucky for myself and my children. In this day where jobs are scarce, I was worried if I would still have one at all. Not because of me, but because the school is still so new, only a year old. But, we are hanging in there!

Thursday, my assistant and I spent the day doing yearly reviews for the teachers that have reached their 1 year anniversary. I spent so much time trying to make their reviews as positive as possible. I never gave a thought that I was up for review.

Early in the afternoon I was called into an empty classroom by the two owners and they shut the door. My first reaction was....oh crap, what is wrong. They laughed and asked me why I looked like a deer caught in a headlight. lol They told me that they had come to the school to do my review

Well, the negative was what I already knew about myself. I need to work on my self confidence and decision making skills. I am to go with my gut instinct and just do it. They said my decisions are always right and I just need to feel confident. I also need to organize and prioritize. Shut the office door and delegate responsibilities to my assistant more. I already knew these things about myself. That was it! Nothing else negative

Now for the positive. They said it is obvious to them that I love the school as if it was my own. I take pride in the school and staff and it is apparent as soon as they walk in the door. My rapoire with the parents is "second to none!" They also said I am a "wonderful asset to their school" I was given a raise and told that for every tour I do that signs up I get a cash bonus

It was a wonderful suprise, a terrific review which in itself helped my self confidence. It also answered my daily question of "I wonder how they think I'm doing" . They now inform me that they will be at the school less cause they know I can run it without them

Wow, life just gets better and better. It's about time!
