Could I Have This Dance
We all have dreams at one time or another, but it’s
different to have a dream of something, someone
or being somewhere other than where you are. I dream
of the day that my true love and I are dancing together,
of a time where a look across a room, and we each know
that the one we love and care for is having those same
feelings and thoughts. I dream of a relationship that
is both separate but also together, as in each partner
having their own thoughts and individuality. Still
knowing our love, understanding and mutual respect
is intact and always in place, because of that big
factor in any relationship….TRUST…..
I’ll always remember the song they were playing, on
That first night we danced and I knew….It might have
been a dance from far away, a dance to the music at
both ends of the line. As we swayed back and forth
and held each other…I fell in love with her….
I asked “could I have this dance for the rest of my life?”
“Sure would be nice if you were my partner every night”
Everything feels so right, her touch, the scent of her
fragrance, and her beauty of mind and spirit, all wrapped
into a package I’d love and care for forever… When we
are together it feels so right….
I’ll always remember that magic moment, The moment I
held you close to me…The warmth of your body, so comforting
and conforming, to the rhythm of the music…As we moved
together, I knew, forever, she was all I’ll ever need…….. Yes
I knew she’d be my partner for the rest of my life…This felt
So right.
So please my dear, Could I have this dance for the rest of my life ???
