This is the first of two blogs sharing what kind of day I have had today. There were two different, seemingly unrelated incidents that happened and I want to share them with you...
I plan to post the second one yet this evening but as we all know... I need to wait a bit, lol
This first blog is about learning a life lesson, and allowing myself to realize it and absorb its truth..
The other day I was with my mom on one of her eye appointments and we were waiting and waiting .... I then looked up to my left at the wall where there was a beautiful picture of a scene of the ocean and a saying underneath the picture.
The saying read as follows...."Success is getting what you want, Happiness is wanting what you get"
I have thought.... really thought... about this since then, and have realized that I have been so "hung up" about what I feel that I don't have, that I not only do not remember, often, to thank God for what I DO have, but, on top of that, although I SO loved my husband and was proud to be his wife for 23 years.... I didn't realize until just today... that instead of dwelling on him being gone and that I am now alone.... I found something in this life that so very few ever do.... and I need to be openly grateful to God every time he and the love that we shared, crosses my mind!! I believe that God wanted me to learn this invaluable lesson "before" he will open the next door....  "Thank you blessed Father~~~  "
