Life is simple or it can be
as complicated as you've been taught for years
Praise the lord who provides
and ourselves for refusing to die

But it can be simpler
brass tacks or on the wall
Praise the lord who provides
the first all

And here's a sunset you thought
would kill but brought alive
a new day of discovery
praise the lord who provides
and ourselves for staying alive

Still it's simpler than that to me

I can't control what other people do
I wonder how he knew
that I don't want to
be responsible for what
you like to think is just
And it's all much simpler than that

It's this day I've been given
even when I didn't want it
and I'm thankful I'm here
to see anything

And yet, it's much simpler than that
