We had a block party just down the street from me today...at the church.....so i whipped up my special batch of baked beans.....bet it didnt take me more than ten minutes to throw it all together....and that includes getting out my food processor and chopping up the onions....been making them for years.....something else i do...when its cooking in the oven....i never let the edges burn to the sides....im always stirring it up so it stays consistent from side to side....i think thats what seperates the great cooks from just somebody who cooks....you never leave the kitchen......but i do have to admit...im on the pc just in the next room....and the smell as it was cooking.....the smell of brown sugar and bacon and onions.....it drove my cat spike crazy.....of course...it might have been that taste of the bacon he got just before i broke it up in the beans....so the party started at noon...i got down there about one....saw that they had three dishes of baked beans.....sat mine down...got some food...and went over and sat down at the table next to my neibor....told him to try my baked beans..that one day ill be famious for them....he laughted and said he just finished eating.....told him to go get a spoon full....he did...and then...he started going down the rolls of tables to tell everybody to try my beans.....church ladies wanted to know whats in them...and i told them its a family secret.....so a few of them stood over them and tried to figure out by looking at what was left....just down the street from me is a vacant lot at the corner of two highways.....and its for sale....i was thinking that i could put up a block building there and open up a rib shack.....and make my baked beans as a side dish.....and maybe even...fries.....work ten months of the year...and take two off in somewhere nice like florida...in the winter time up here.....im looking for a catchy name......i want my name in the title....but i also want the ribbs to be there too......something like.....Cookies barbarques.....id like it to be all in the letter ...C........any ideas out there?.......cookie
