I wanted to laugh, but this guy was serious. Monday at 8am, I met a contractor on a jobsite in Miami Beach. It's a total renovation of a single family home in a well established neighborhood. The contractor asked me to meet him to go over some designer changes that the architect was still working on.
After the meeting, I put the blueprints, camera measuring tape, notepad into my car alongside the contractor's truck and waited for him to back out.
He went 2 feet and stopped to allow a woman in a white Lexus to pass.
The contractor began to back out again and in an instant, there was horn blowing and the sound of screeching tires.
A black Mercedes convertible, speeding down the road, swerved around the contractor's truck and came to a full stop diagonally in the middle of the street just past the truck. The driver got out and in a scratchy Mafioso voice shouted "I'll see to it that you never work in this town again"
The contractor didn't hear the guy, but he rolled down the window and said "I didn't see you, I'm sorry"
The guy got back into his car, rolled the passenger window down, but he wouldn't leave. Apparently, he wanted to make something of the incident.
I told the contractor what the guy had said and he looked at me and said "Is he serious?"
Without hesitation he again apologized to the other driver who was again out of his car twitching his body like he was looking for a direct confrontation.
I didn't move, the contractor didn't move and after about 45 seconds had passed the guy got back into his car and sped away.
Good thing he didn't pull a gun !
I was a witness to early morning road rage... I guess his asshole medicine had kicked-in before he left the house.

Reminds me of an old joke.
A little old lady in a nice Rolls Royce was taking her time maneuvering into a parking space when a young guy speeds up with a new Vette and parks in her spot. He gets out and says to the gal, "That's power for ya!" She proceeds to back up behind the Vette and start ramming the rear end of the Vette. He is appalled that she would ruin his little baby. She rolls down the window and says, "That's money for ya!"

I know it wasn't funny while it was going on, but it's a funny story to read.
Yeah, I'm thinking this fella's anti-asshole meds had not kicked in yet...or maybe his wife had just pizzed him off!

Yeh, these days you just want to bite your tongue, you never know how crazy some of these people are driving on the roads.

When I used to be married my ex and I were driving back to our apartment, there was a guy in a car next to us, apparently he was not happy that when the light changed to green my ex sped by him, then turned the corner and drove into the apartment's parking lot, this nut case followed us in his car, my ex and I got out of the car, the guy got out of his and pulled a gun on my husband. I ran into the building and went to see the superintendent who phoned the police. I didn't know what else to do. Luckily nothing happened but boy was I scared. Yes, alot of nuts out there on the roads and alot of road rage. Glad I don't live in the city anymore.
