Well, here it is June now, but in typical Wisconsin fashion, the weather refuses to act like it should. After being teased with a handful of days in the 80's the first half of May, we've been hard pressed to get much past the lower 70's lately. This would be great if it wasn't for a stiff breeze many days, & periods of overcast skies. Nights are still downright chilly, with lows dipping into the lower 40's many nights. Even frost up in northern WI. I know anything beats the snow & cold of Winter, but if only it would just warm up a bit more to warm up the lakes, & make most days flip flop & shorts days.
I've posted 5 new pics which were taken last Friday @ Menomonee Park / Zoo in Oshkosh. I've lost 20 lbs. since my last pics I uploaded, which were of me with my mustache & goatee.
My mom's surgery was very successful. She now has a complete artificial shoulder, & was home the day after surgery. She'll start physical therapy on it this Friday. Their insurance company is going to sue WalMart, & my folks have decided to also once mom heals a bit (later this Summer). Dad now has a prescribed inhaler he can take with him, so he can still enjoy walks & other activities he was used to doing.
Thankfully, work has been very steady. In fact, the service department has remained very busy, & even the sales department has picked up quite a bit. Our dealership avoided the cuts GM made a few weeks ago, & the word is that the Janesville, WI. facility is one of 3 being considered for a new product line GM wants to introduce. That would be great, as it would bring back more jobs to the area.
The trip to Rochelle Railroad Park was a lot of fun. Not as many trains as other years, given the state of the economy, but it was great catching up with railfan friends from neighboring states. No surprise visits from anyone this year, like I had last year, but I still made the most of it.
Hope ya'll are having a great week. *HUGS & FOOTRUBS* ladies... *HANDSHAKES* guys..
