( with a small "m" because that's the way she likes it.
As some of you know, I have had the privilege of being able to spend some time with a most remarkable woman these last two weeks or so. Many of you know her too, and I want to say that what you see is what you get.
What I mean is ....she is exactly who she says she is. She is misschoos. She reminds me of Mary Poppins, in that, she does what she sets out to do, and always in a cheerful state of mind. She is smart... do not underestimate this girl. She really can do anything she wants.
While we were drinking bottles of wine cooking dinner last night, thunderstorms were brewing all around us. She has mentioned that she is frightened of thunderstorms. I took her out on the front porch, and we were watching the rain move towards us. Lightening was flashing a ways off, and the thunder was low, dark and big. Not too loud...just sounded big. Like it could get mean if it wanted to. I could see the uncertainty in her eyes......
As we were standing there, I heard the Casper City Concert Band playing in the band shell down in Washington Park. They do that every Thursday evening. It is about 5-6 blocks away from my house. When the air is still I can sometimes hear them from my home.
I quickly made adjustments to the cooking dinner, grabbed the boy, our two dogs, and misschoos and hurried them to the park.....
At the park....it was raining steady....straight down sort of rain. Reminded me of that scene in Braveheart.....a good Scottish rain it was....
And we were the only ones there besides the band. The park was green and lush, due to the rainy spring we have had. It was not cold, just cool. There are usually a few hundred people out on the lawn in front of the shell.
So misschoos and I are standing 100 feet out from the band shell, and the boy is running around in the park with the dogs.
And I remembered.....the list.
Someone had mentioned an idea to misschoos.... as something to do while she was here....and it came to me at that moment.
The band was playing in the big bandshell...and we were standing there out in front getting soaked...and I remembered!
I turned to her...and said...
" May I have this dance?"
She looked up at me with glistening eyes, and a smile as pretty as the morning.
And we danced..........
And I could feel the band watching us.....the music became somehow magical.....There was nothing else but us....
Yes...a most remarkable friend.
When we got back to the house a few minutes later.....soaking wet.....the dinner was ready....
We took everything up to the dining room...... lit the candles......and us 3 had a dinner that was perfick....
Everyday has been special.
I am not looking forward to Monday.

Dear Hunny,
I nipped out to Sam's Club this morning to buy a new computer, then when I got back to your shop, I went to my local book store for my regular coffee and to write this blog. Imagine my surprise when I logged in here and you had already written it...
....but that's what seems to happen around here...surprises...just like magic.
thank you with love from misschoos xxx

I left a similar comment on misschoos [small m becauze, you all know why]
But I have to tell you that I know Monday is coming way too soon, however, the weeks you have had together will stay in your hearts always, and the smiles, the dance, all those special moments will be memories that will replay whenever you need that extra smile.
I wish that the time drags along until then...
Thanks for sharing your wonderful two weeks of making memories ...
