Bored to death this morning and waiting for the lawn to dry out for yard work.....and thanks to my buddy justme.....i got an idea for this blog......dont think ive ever seen a post of this kind on here....least ive never seen one.....and ill be the first to admit.....its been years since ive had to use pick up lines......even when i did....im not sure they ever worked anyhow......i ve always heard that a woman decides how far shes gonna let a guy go with her within the first few minutes of meeting him.....so it stands to reason that as long as what he says to her at the first meeting....dosnt totally turn her off.......does it really matter what he says to her......because its really being decided with little or no help from him to begin with....and if this is really true......all the pick up lines in the world cant help a guy.....so why has so many pick up lines been invented and used over the years.......we see this in movies......or was there a time when the so called ice had to be broken first...and somebody had to say something to get it all started......or is it the fact that times have changed so much over the years ...that divorce and single parenting......and all the problems that we have now days have hardened people to the point that dating and companionship are nolonger needed....or for the few...it never seems to work out in the end for......and even for the fewer few...that relationships do work out for......is there such a thing as happy ever after.......or was that something they use to end a book with....cause they ran out of words to write......ive always believed that the only time its ever really over with.....not just when the clock runs out in some ball game......or even at the end of a long season......but when they put you six feet under......and even then......they say theres some sort of after life...waiting.....so it might just be that its never really over with after all......maybe i should go out and think up some better pick up lines.......just in case they might be needed sometime.....does anybody out there know any lines that are fresh and unused that might put us ahead in this game of meeting women?.......cookie

I am gonna post something, how about:
“Hi” ... Am I kidding? Nope... There is no hidden agenda behind it, no innuendo, no “routine”, just a friendly honest “hi”, but make sure you smile, and that your "hi" is natrual, spontaneous, confident, and keep a good body language established.. (this means, paying attention to the response and not snapping your head as someone else walks by)
And forget pick up lines... I have never had one work on me.. more just let the conversation flow naturally. Talk like you talk to your best friend. The more natural you are, the better. Notice something nice about this person, and comment on it, but don’t compliment too much. Speak slowly and keep your voice tone low.
What happens very often is that we have trouble maintaining the conversation after the initial "hi". It happens... we get stuck, we ask too many questions, which is also not helpful to get the conversation going.
Sometimes it really does help to have some kind of a story prepared. If nothing interesting ever happened to you, you can make one up. (I once had a gentleman tell me all about how he saved his cat from being washed in the washing machine - it was interesting and funny and laughter shared is great.) It really doesn’t matter what the story is about. What matters is how you are telling it. It has to be told in an interesting way.
In no uncertain terms ever use any of those innuendo pick up lines.. unless of course you are really into having your face slapped....

Just my take on it. When we were kids who usually made the first move, the girls did. This hasn't changed to much, it is just more subtle, in the end they pick us up.

I actually remember 2 lines used on me; "Are you tired? Because you've been running through my mind all night"....and.....(searching his pockets) " I lost my number, can I have yours?" Yikes. But then I had a date with a man who was a bit awkward and self-conscious. When our drinks came, he moved the straw aside, took a sip and put his glass down but the straw somehow stuck in his nose. We looked at each other began to laugh uproariously. My makeup ran and he spit out an ice cube and I knew. We were married for 15 years, been divorced as long and sometimes we STILL laugh about that night.
