I got to read a blog this eve about the 6 ways that Mr. O has changed the world in 6 mos. My rebuttal.
I've watched, listened and have but one thing to say One Big Ass Mistake America.

It doesn't matter what your hopes, dreams, aspirations or beliefs are. What matters are facts. You cannot get out of a hole by digging. The deeper you dig, the less you can see, you're blinded by dirt. If you're looking for a savior, you don't have to go to church. Look within.

Considering that his lack or not proven citizenship hasn't been answered but been swept under the rug along with his medical records etc. I find it hard to believe in his transparency gig that he's pushing.

I also don't like all the money he's throwing around that "we" are supposed to provide for him. I think he got enough money in his campaign from other countries that he still hasn't been able to account for because someone couldn't use an excel spreadsheet.

So no, you're not going to convince me that he's the best thing since sliced bread because he's not giving "bread" to the people that need it.

The problem with most of you who hate Obama so much is that you don't have another plan of action. You had your chance for eight years. In that eight years you sold America down the tubes. You started a war that cost lives all based on lies. You took the money and ran. And still, you don't have the brains to see that the "same ol way" will only make it worse. I can't wait to hear any of you propose a better way to deal with the real problems at hand. So far, your leaders in Congress only whine like you do. There are no new ideas. The ones who voted for Obama voted against people like YOU. You are in the minority now and losing followers daily. You have been crushed and still don't understand why. Open your eyes because the "times they are a changin". You'll be like the dinosaurs if you don't.

I tend to agree with Mission guy on this one..

I didn't like the path we went down the prior eight years.. And I have found most Republican conservatives seem to have a ME ME ME attitude.. or MINE MINE MINE.... I don't see or feel much compassion for our fellow man coming from that side of the fence.. No politician is going to do what everyone likes.. it's impossible.. And yes, we should all be vocal about how are government is representing us..
If you don't like the way things are, then get involved..do something instead of being a sheep if you are serious about your views..
I'm not going to call anyone names because of there political point of views.. you have the right to believe as you do and I respect that.. after all.. it's all these points of views that makes the world go round.. it also affords us the opportunity to change.. That's the great thing about this country..

We can complain.. but put some action into your complaints. . Vote

Fr8rain

Jun 12 @ 9:19AM
There isn't "hate" anywhere in my post. And "I" wasn't elected president nor did "you or I" elect the president. If you think your vote counts, I suggest you do a little reading. If "our" votes counted, Obama would not be president. He lost the popular vote to Hilary. So I'm not in the minority and his credibility and support is losing ground every day because of his stupidity and lack of experience which shows in the decisions he's made to keep digging to get out of a hole. Doesn't matter whether he dug the hole to start with, what does matter is that he doesn't have the sense to quit digging.
The "you's", Me, Mine crapola means nothing if there isn't anything to be yours, mine or ours since he's trying to give our country away and the principles it was built on.
If you voted for him just because he promised "change" well, maybe McDonald's would have given you more "change" and a job too.

I can't stand Obama and I have a Plan! Get that Bastard out of the White House for he is bankrupting this country fast! His only answer is to spend more money, billions after billions that WE, the tax payers have to pay. The president or government is not the answer to the problems of this country, they are the PROBLEM! I am not a Republican or a Democrat but consider myself as a independent business man.
People wanted a change and they got it! A change for the worse! The problem with most of you Obama lovers is you can not see past your nose and you are a follower, not a leader. Some follow blindly believing everything they are told. Wake up! smack yourself, look at this country like you were from another country, see what others see. At one time this was a proud and strong country but it has gone to the dogs. You don't have to believe me but just look at who is in the White House. A man with no experience and hasn't accomplished anything but fattening his own pocket like politicians have done for years. The only reason Obama is in the White House is because of his skin color, he is black. If he had been a white man, he wouldn't be in the White House now. So the plan of action should be, take our country back! make it the great country it use to be. A country for the people, not the government. I did not vote for Obama, I will never vote for him. I didn't vote for McCain for he wasn't the man for the job either. It's bad when we have only the bad and the ugly to choose from. It was better when we had the Good, the bad and the ugly to choose from.

I was a life long Democrat..This last election has made me a registered Independent out of me !! This has nothing to do with hate..That is an over used cop out that people use to defend their choice to vote for this man When a candidate like Obama..A man with virtually no long term record or experience and questionable history can be elected President of the USA It's time to really take a hard look at what we have become as a Nation . Maybe it's also time to take a hard look at who and what we admire
My hope for America is that we will all wake up before it is too late

As one reads over the responses, it's the same old wasted words with no content. There are no alternative ideas, there is nothing but whining and complaining by a minority that even now wants to back away from the Republican party and call themselves independents. What a joke. Just another word for the same old thing. You want roads, bridges, schools but you don't want to pay for them. If you like less government go take a look at Somalia. They have no government. You might be happy there. You are so out of it I wonder if you just didn't get that last evolutionary change. :-)
Anyway, I don't expect anything positive from any of you because for the last 8 years, your conservative idiots practically ruined our country and lost precious lives in a war based on lies. Can any of you come up with one positive response as to what you would do to make America better besides the same ol Bushfck stuff which DIDN'T work.

You don't want to hear my solution !! Believe me there would be no free checks in the mail for a lot of folks that don't even need it or the massive printing of devalued funny money from the Government. No free rides for free loaders, idiots and people that spend more then they make...We would have our roads, bridges etc. rebuilt... But everyone who is able would be working and paying their own way...Sound familiar ?? Manufacturing would be brought back to the US..Very old world don't you think ?? But...but...but.......he walks on water. Doesn't he?

No?

Waaaaaaa.
observed50

Jun 12 @ 4:47PM
Obama is a human being...no water walker, no sliced bread, no messiah...

Yes...his blackness had a lot to do with his election because for many of us...he carries a voice that is unlikely to come from a white politician and have much authenticity. It is highly unlikely in any culture that a member of the dominant group can carry the power of unification that a member of the minority group can, because the long history of difference and its differential rewards makes all members of the majority suspect. That is simply social reality in arenas of long standing group conflict.

His measuring up to people's needs to measure don't jive because we want him to look like the others did...and...his difference means he won't. Community organizer working with race, labor, housing, and so on...and that's not good enough for white folks because...shoot...that's not really doing something! Running a company the old fashioned way is really doing something. Making money while others lose...that's the old way...the known way...the good way. Helping people help themselves...I mean...what is that...church work??

How many times have you found people going spastic over a birth certificate that a state certifies as real??? Hmmm...can't help but notice...race. Why the effort to prove he isn't American with a mother from Kansas? Race. Claims of no long term record or experience, yet having served in the state legislature and federal? Race. It goes on and on. One doesn't have to be self-labeling as racist...one has to look at the uniqueness of the questions...and their validity. Child born to an American parent suddenly is questioned as to whether an American. Do we question that in our neighborhoods a lot...our schools...our workplace???

And to keep offering that broken analogy that you don't dig a hole deeper to get out...is simply a misapplied, broken analogy. Debt is not like digging a hole...the metaphor captures only a part of it. When companies are hurting, when organizations are hurting, they borrow money to get through hard times. Poorly run companies keep the same management in place and everything the same, borrow money...and go to bankruptcy court later. Well run companies shake things up, get new eyes and minds working on the problem, and use the borrowed capital to invest in new growth opportunities. That is what debt is used for all the time. I took out loans to go to college and grad school, and dug myself a huge hole...but one that gave me new means of generating better income streams so I could pay off the loan and build a better life.

It happens a gazillion times a day. Borrow while in debt to build one's way out of debt.

Those who keep jamming that 'digging a hole' analogy at you are trying to have you pay no attention to reality...and only pay attention to their ideological ranting. All analogies only capture a dimension of the reality for which they are a stand-in. Don't fall into the logical trap of reification where you treat the analogy as if it is the thing itself...it is far from it. Reality is the fact...not the analogy. Face the facts.

And enough money in his campaign??? Sheesh...No one ever estimated this to be some large sum.

Presidents we love? Oh yeah...an actor who ran secret wars from the basement of the White House and taught white people that their government is the problem. Imagine a corporate spokesperson (successful one too!) thinking government was the problem??? Just find it so hard to believe...

It's easy to understand why you might be skeptical of transparency after living through the last 8 years of the most secretive presidency in our history. Bush came to power and immediately threw the cloak of silence over the records of his father's administration, and Clinton's to make it plausible that he did his dad's. They fought transparency tooth and nail. Before you pound on the opposition for not showing you personally his birth certificate and his baby foot print...maybe you could git yer folks to shed light on their darkness??

So don't believe in Obama. He calls on you as a citizen to get involved and pitch in rebuilding a busted economy, a nation that has been greatly undermined internally and externally during the last administration. He asks that you believe in yourself, and your community, enough to get involved. When does the political mumbo jumbo from blogland turn into self-reflection and self-motivation to...pitch in??

It seems to me until we're ready to recognize that we keep trying to fix a broken train...tomorrow will look a lot like today...because politics is broke, economy is broke, and as a nation of citizens, we're broke. Broke not as in broke out of money, but that this train never was and never will be, headed for the destinations for which we all were sold that it was going.

Jun 12 @ 6:04PM
Very well said. But it seems his own family can't agree on where he was born. Race has nothing to do with it for me. His eligibility to even run for president is suspect. As is his campaign record keeping. But because of his "race" it seems he's above having to account. And no he's not a savior, a messiah or anything close to it. And his "experience" is close to nil. I believe it's 143 days or in that neighborhood. I bet McDonald's requires more experience than that for one of their managers. If he was sincere in wanting to get out of this hole, he wouldn't be throwing money at CEO's and taking over private companies (which I'd like to help to get him busted for)
Why isn't he cutting salaries every which way but loose in his own house?
And I agree the train is broken. However, his kowtowing and ignorance will have the country derailed before there's even a chance at repairing the train or building a new one.
If Bush or another president had done half the idiotic things he's done, people would have been screaming for impeachment.

I want to know why no one ever seems to mention the Weathers Underground. An American terrorist group that has been responsible for bombings and other fun activities. Our great and fearless leader was a part of that group. That would be like voting for Timothy McVeigh after the Oklahoma bombing. Shame they executed him. He could be the terror czar. Though I think he paid his taxes so no go for Tim. How many times did obama abstain from voting on important issues? Do the research before defending that dumbshit president. He has people in charge of things that they have no clue on. That would be like me being put in charge of brain surgery. Ive never done one, but I have seen it on tv. Does that make me qualified? Under the obama regime it would. There is a major issue with the Jewish community with our new leader. They want nothing to do with him. He shakes their hand and then goes to the enemy and kisses their ass. How do you work on peace when these groups whos first priority is to wipe out Israel and then the US? *coughs* Neville Chamberlain and Adolph Hitler. What will it take for people to realise what is going on and stop defending him because hes black? Maybe when he lets Hizbolla or Hezbolla blow up half the US to appease the terrorists.

Why do you all forget that the last four years has been run by the DEMOCRATS?????
They promised us the World on a Silver Platter too btw. I remember the YEAHAWS when the won both houses and did NOTHING in the past FOUR YEARS, so what makes you think they are Going to do anything in the next four years? They will have either years in a row by this time, do the math. They will have controlled both houses no matter what President resides, they still pass the bills, and still nothing will get done but pass a bunch of phony wrecklass spending as they've proven already, that's what everyone is pissed about. Blame who you want, they still are the majority here and still run both houses and have been and still haven't gotten anywhere, facts are facts, so lets face it. The last Four Years have been a joke where the Democrats promised us a change and they produced nothing because they couldn't agree on what to get to the President's desk, you can't pass bills when they don't even make it to his desk ya know. Obama didn't even make it to any of the meetings, he just voted present if you remember, he didn't even cast votes. Such great participation eh? hmmm. Lost
observed50

Jun 12 @ 7:05PM
I guess first...it would be important to list what it is that is so idiotic to you.

Obviously...'idiotic' is a judgment...not a reality...and as such...is more about the observer(s) than the observed, and doesn't carry a lot of capacity to inform nor to make good decisions for future action. 'Idiotic' is simply a word of social distancing in which we try to say to someone listening..."I am not like them!"...and as such...carries no capacity to bring people together to see the same things, which, seemingly, beneath the accusations above...you would require to get something meaningfully done as a community.

Again...since when do we question whether a child born to an American citizen is an American citizen? Only when we are trying to find some way to disqualify someone for some obtuse reason. Why obtuse? Because everything else is legitimate. So seek the obtuse. and for whom have we done that before?? Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...no one in my memory. It derives from a subgroup focused by his race. Suddenly...these things are important...not because of anything other than race...and all the trappings of ethnicity that came with it - religion, imagined links to terrorists, both domestic and foreign (Nixon and Kennedy had links to the Mob and that didn't stop anyone), and on and on...fed by a subgroup of Americans focused by his race.

Again...you discount his experience working in the neighborhoods of Chicago...organizing people to build the communities and jobs they felt were important. Why? Why is that not real experience that is applicable to building a nation...far more applicable than getting people organized to make money by betting against people succeeding (Romney) or make money by Daddy covering yer ass (Bush) or any other story out there? Why is working with people directly on the problems that confront them for several years...why is that discounted? Why is his being a lawyer representing such people discounted? How does his record in the senate become his only experience?

What am I missing here???

Kowtowing?? To who??? Ignorance...on what?

All these accusations...so little substance. No details...no facts to link data to conclusion...just accusation????

Why???? What is there that isn't simply ideological in the accusations???

None of us know what is going to happen by the trillions being spent as it is...there are educated guesses, and they go in many directions. None of us here have the ability to read the future...we can only guess.

Taking over companies and get him busted for it??? What does that even refer to and busted for what???

I try to follow these assertions...but what are you grounding them in? What is the reality of facts from which you derive these conclusions?

ElmerFudd445

what observed said!!!

And ppl seem to be blaming Obama for the mess the Federal Reserve made many years before he was even born.. a lot of decisions are made by the government (and Obama's peopl).. hmm.. hasn't he added both republican and democrats in the mix?
I think so.. And as Observed stated.. he comes from a different place than other politicians that have held this office before.. he comes from a background of being a
community organizer working with race, labor, housing, and so on
.. He will see the needs of the public different than those who haven't dealt with similar issues.. the results of his choices remain to be seen.. and yes.. there will be hard times for many.. it's not easy to "dig out of a hole" that was brought on from the previous administrations.. and there will be some pain involved in getting better.. there always is

And Fr8rain.. re-read your blog.. You didn't come out and say "hate".. but there is a lot of venom in it..
Considering that his lack or not proven citizenship hasn't been answered but been swept under the rug along with his medical records etc.
.. I have yet found anything that proves that statement true.. only ones still pounding there fist on this one are Shawn Hannity or Rush Limbaugh.. and I have lost all respect for these guys,,

I'm not blaming Obama, I'm blaming the Democrats that controled the House and the Senate for the last Four years. They make promises they have not kept. They said there would be change if they won both houses, and they said they'd pass bills to improve the economy, improve jobs, etc etc. It's only gone down hill and it's been proven they have not gotten the bills to the President. He signed the Bills they did get to his desk which I believe were only two in the four years since they took control. That isn't much progress, yet everyone Blames Bush. I say, Let the Dems take some of this blame for not getting progress done as they promised and putting their money where their mouth was, they didn't produce as they promised either. Take care Lost

Jun 12 @ 7:40PM
You question citizenship or lack therof when someone is running for president of the country.
Not aimless accusations. Will need to double check and see if the lawsuit is still ongoing or it got squashed but there was and hopefully still is a lawsuit against the democratic committee for even allowing him to run as his citizenship is doubtful. Would you like a president who isn't even a citizen of this country? Whereas all the other people running had no reason to hide they provided their records including medical and education. So much for transparency.
I don't discount his experience organizing nor his ability as a lawyer but I don't think that it gives the kind of experience needed to run a country unless it's into the ground. However, it did him in good stead getting millions of dollars in donations from other countries during his campaign. His groupies have stated that the computer program they were using makes it impossible for them to track. Makes you wonder why they wanted him elected though I hardly think it was for world peace.
Last I heard the government now owns 70% of GM which of course we get to pay for.
I wonder if he'll buy a ball team next?
His foreign policy is a joke. Nope I take that back. It isn't a joke when he is running around apologizing for our military actions that saved countries not to mention lives at the cost of too many of ours to count and bowing to kings.
I'm not saying that the previous administration was better. Far from it. But to have someone in that driver's seat just for the sake of change solves nothing.
Desperate times call for desperate measures but I question the validity of his citizenship, his experience and also the blind following of people who think that he's the messiah of change and is going to save them. Change is guaranteed, you don't need a plastic idol for it to happen.

I'm an Independent and not a hater and you my friend are stuck in a dream world

You, like many misinformed people don't have a clue about where the real big money goes (corporate welfare). Yea, you want to stop this kind of financial abuse? I'm all for it. Providing government money for children without healthcare is not in our countries best interest. You need to look again at where the money is going and not believe the propaganda about how poor people are taking us to the cleaners.

he federal government spent $92 billion in direct and indirect subsidies to businesses and private- sector corporate entities — expenditures commonly referred to as "corporate welfare" — in fiscal year 2006. The definition of business subsidies used in this report is broader than that used by the Department of Commerce's Bureau of Economic Analysis, which recently put the costs of direct business subsidies at $57 billion in 2005. For the purposes of this study, "corporate welfare" is defined as any federal spending program that provides payments or unique benefits and advantages to specific companies or industries.

Supporters of corporate welfare programs often justify them as remedying some sort of market failure. Often the market failures on which the programs are predicated are either overblown or don't exist. Yet the federal government continues to subsidize some of the biggest companies in America. Boeing, Xerox, IBM, Motorola, Dow Chemical, General Electric, and others have received millions in taxpayer-funded benefits through programs like the Advanced Technology Program and the Export-Import Bank. In addition, the federal crop subsidy programs continue to fund the wealthiest farmers.

I think that's a great idea. However, you also have to realize that there are many Dems that are more like Republicans so it's not a slam dunk by any means. If we want change that benefits all, that gives us all a good health care system, that takes the power away from corporate control, that improves schools and infrastructure, that helps eliminate pollution, that helps develop business' that promote alternative energy and a million other things that we have not done in the past we should be able to make America a great nation once again. We have to get out of the business of war and back into producing QUALITY products that will last beyond all the Chinese junk we now buy. It's time to give up the throw-away concept of buying and start realizing that quality built by Americans will pave the way to a brighter future.

The problem with most of you who hate Obama so much is that you don't have another plan of action. You had your chance for eight years. In that eight years you sold America down the tubes.

Oops,,, sorry for the double post.

I don't hate the man,,,, but I don't agree with his actions. During the campaign,,, it was noted time and time again, that his speaches lacked any substance or details about what he planned to do, other than to raise taxes for business, raise taxes for the other guy, and give the money to you.

Business went into a tail spin, as compaines immediately started switching their business models to one that would limit the impact of those taxes, and prepare for a general slow down. Once one company started, the rest followed.

Then came the massive tarp bailout that was suppose to create jobs. Everyone on the left cheered, even though the time from when the congress got the plan, to the time they had to vote on it, was not enough time to even read it.

Then, in March,,, we started to see some of the bright shiney new hope and change tarnish a little on the ball,,, when Obama answered the question in the town hall meeting,,, "When will we see our jobs come back from overseas?" His answer, "Those jobs will never come back. We need to find new jobs."

The plans on the books now for the tarp money, build or improve federal parks, update and build roads, expand some federal buildings, etc. etc. etc. Almost all the jobs are construction. So,,, for all those who saw their manufacturing jobs disappear, and had "HOPE" that the "CHANGE" would bring them back,,, sorry. That was never the plan.

But,,, we have a paving machine over here you can learn how to run. $8.00 and hour, and you need to speak Spanish so your foreman can communicate with you. Yep,,, that's what you had in mind, isn't it?

Where is Clinton, our secratary of state..... who knows. Haven't heard much from her,,, since her first official trip,,,to CHINA. Now, where were those guys from who stayed in the Lincoln bedroom, contributed all that money to the DNC, just before the huge sucking sound of American jobs to China,,, let me see,,, oh yeah,,, CHINA.

All of you who voted, hoping your mortages would be restrutured, or paid off, or that you could finnally get that home,,,, have you gotten it?

All those that were ready to go out and buy that new car, with the tax money you were not going to have to pay,,, how does it drive? You must have gotten a good deal,,, since the prices are rock bottom cause no one is buying them.

How about all those education oppertunities for kids to go to collage? Anyone trying to send a kid to collage? Is the money there,,, to even borrow? How about all of the endowment scholarships,,, historically paid by rich people,,,, plenty of them? Well,,, no,,, on all accounts.

Then, knowing he never really had any business or budget experience,,,, you know he had experience in being a mionority. He was going to make it safe for everyone. Stamp out the stigma of racism. You jews feeling safe right now? How about you folks in Detroit?

I mention this,,, and all the left are telling me,,, time,,,he needs more time,,,,he can't fix it overnight,,,,blah, blah, blah,,,, When he ran, he had the answers. He told us so. His supporters told us so. Now,, he seems to be struggling with the questions.

Well,,, if you voting based on what he said,,, YOU GOT PAWNED. Enjoy your asphalt machines, and the lines down at HHS,,,, he promised to make you equal,,, but he didn't say where the equal line would fall.

From a brilliant blogger.....

Read this brilliant blog,,, written in October of 08,,, before the election. Then remember the speaches of Obama. Tell me,,, who was the better predictor of what would happen.

Well,,, if you voting based on what he said,,, YOU GOT PAWNED.

You are just another whiner with nothing positive to add. You have a better plan? Does the conservative/Republican/Independent side have any plan? The answer is no. They only want to drag us down deeper with the same philosophy that got us here to begin with. Not one conservative post here has shown the audacity to come up with anything positive, with anything except put downs, whining, complaining and sour grape idiocy. Where's the beef? Where are the ideas that will help America? Are all of you just the type who wallow in the slop of Republican/Independent talking points? One positive idea please.....just one! How would you climb out of the Bush Hole?
Fr8rain

Jun 13 @ 9:31AM
For starters I don't believe it's "Bush's Hole". Was started long before that.
And as it's Obama's "JOB" that he is being paid very well to do, I expect him to have the qualifications and experience to do it. Otherwise he should be fired like anyone else and I think he should be fired.
Yes, it's illegal to accept foreign donations but Obama did it, was caught at it and that too has been swept under his rug.
As far as good ideas go to "save" us I don't even believe in that philosophy which is why I didn't vote for him. People who voted for him can't even tell you why. Other than he's going to make changes.
Well let's see........hmmm. We're deeper in debt, more people homeless, higher taxes, higher unemployment, etc. Yep. those are changes all right.
I believe we should dismantle the entire government, toss most of it out and take this country back. And we may not have to do the dismantling as the way it's going it could topple itself.
imlost2

Jun 13 @ 9:46AM
Exactly Fr8rain, a more clearer way to put this, is the people in the Government haven't really changed much, you have the same ppl running it with the same politics.. It's like if you have a car that's a lemon with a bad engine, it runs crappy, has bad mileage and takes too much oil, unless you change that engine and put a new one in it, it's still gonna run crappy and take too much oil, but because you change the driver, people expect the car to run better. It's not gonna happen. Take care Lost

Ok.... the truth is.. Most of our politician don't know the answers to the problems.. Republican or Democrat.. NO ONE knows for sure HOW to fix the mess.. The problem is so big it's all a guessing game at this point..

Bush did go to congress 2002 and warned them the melt down was coming. But, he was shot down. "this is were Lost is right".. it was the democratic foot hold that let the cards lay as they were.. Thank you Barny Franks.. but the truth to all of this mess .. We have let people run the country that do not understand the complexities of our own money system or how it truly works.. there is no political lines when it comes to that truth.. The public is ignorant to how it works as well.. we leave it to our leaders to figure it out. The only real solution is to educate ourselves about how the economy works.. how the free enterprise system works.. how laws effect more than just what I want and how they may effect others.. but of course.. like most... my life is too busy to do this.. so I hope the public officials I elect can do this for me..

I will add on other comment.. HEALTH CARE..... I have given some thought to this as of late.. people get upset that we'd give free medical care to illegal immigrants.. I used to be opposed to our government doing so.. after all, it comes out of our pockets... but I have come to realize it is also in our own country's best interest as it becomes a our own public health issue.. I surely don't want these illegal immigrants coming into our country and spreading any diseases that may reintroduce any of the diseases we have wiped out.. I feel the answer to this problem is fixing the flow of illegal immigrants.. not taking away there treatment.. I don't want to get sick because we denied them treatment.. Now that came out of left field .. , ..

This blog should have the MD best blog award! and I wish I could give you more kudos but you'll have to settle for just the one.

Im glad you mentioned his citezenship, seems that the Dems dont care about the constitution and what it says regarding who can be President.
Obama has spent over $1,000.000 in sealing all his records that may hold any indication to his birth.

Obama voters vted for him because of either 3 reasons.

1) they wanted Bush out and wanted change. (But Obama didnt say what change he represented)

2) They voted cos he represented the Dems and they vote Dem regardless on whos representing them.

3) They wanted to make history by having the first black president.

The fact is that no one knew ANYTHING about him, his politics OR his views
He kept his views very quiet, including his middle name which he suddenly produced AFTER his election.

Hilary Clinton said in one of her campaigns for Presidency that Obama was not experienced enough to be President.

Obama is driving the last nail in our economic coffin..

OBAMA IS TRYING TO CREATE CORPORATISM IN AMERICA..,

Corporatism is a system of economic, political, and social organization where social groups or interest groups, such as business, ethnic, farmer, labour, military, or patronage groups, are joined together under a common governing jurisdiction to try to achieve societal harmony and promote coordinated development.[1] Corporatism is based on the sociological concept of functionalism.[2]

The word "corporatism" is derived from the Latin word for body, corpus. This meaning was not connected with the specific notion of a business corporation, but rather a general reference to anything collected as a body. Its usage reflects medieval European concepts of a whole society in which the various components – e.g., guilds, universities, monasteries, the various estates, etc. – each play a part in the life of the society, just as the various parts of the body serve specific roles in the life of a body.

Political scientists may also use the term corporatism to describe a practice whereby a state, through the process of licensing and regulating officially-incorporated social, religious, economic, or popular organizations, effectively co-opts their leadership or circumscribes their ability to challenge state authority by establishing the state as the source of their legitimacy, as well as sometimes running them, either directly or indirectly through corporations. This usage is particularly common in the area of East Asian studies, and is sometimes also referred to as state corporatism. Some analysts have applied the term neocorporatism to certain practices in Western European countries, such as the Tupo in Finland and Proporz system in Austria.[3] At a popular level in recent years "corporatism" has been used to mean the promotion of the interests of private corporations in government over the interests of the public

After watching this blog for a few days it's easy to see that are several people here that are doing nothing but playing with semantics. To copy the stats and words of another to the letter is boring I would submit that offering your own thoughts and opinions in your own words would be a much better barometer showing the real tone of our country.
Remember what made this country great ?? It was a free thinking people that didn't believe everything that they saw in print and refused to be led by the nose by those that would make them dependant on the powers that be my friends

What is lacking in America today, is quality. Quality in everything. We have become consumer addicts accepting what looks like our dream "thing" when in fact, we are paying for something that needs to be thrown away in six months. We have lost the mechanism to choose quality. Yes, quality costs more but lasts longer. Quality craftsmanship is something that was handed down from generation to generation. Maybe some of you have some of that stuff given to you by great grandparents. Quality is something that America was proud to export. The ones who produced quality, the workers were sold out to foreigners who produce crap.
To succeed, it's my opinion, we will have to buy less but when we do buy, it should be quality things made by people trained to make things the right way. I think it's something the world needs. How about things that last for 100 years? Furniture, cars, tools...whatever, we can do it. Stop buying junk. Downsize and buy something that will last until your grandchildren are old. Most real change is made by setting an example. Set that example. Forget politics. No one here is going to change their values or ideas but living what you believe and taking notice as to where your money goes, will make a difference especially to those close to you and that's what makes a difference. It's a positive step.

Ron Paul is more my style with his libertarian, independent, freedom loving and rugged individualist slant.I don't even vote anymore, what's the point? You have industrial strength socialists in the democrats and you have regular flavor socialists with the republicans.Did anyone notice how both parties got their spin machines going to make Ron Paul look like some nut case.Even at the debates when Paul was talking you could see Mc Cain spinning his eyes and smirking.Ron Paul or any sain minded independent type is going to have the mainstream media gang up on them too because they aren't part of the good ol'boys establishment.Look at how the sheeple in this country can be bamboozled by style points where they place Obama on a pedastal like a god because of his smoothness and stage persona.Did anyone here see the movie Idiocrasy? The type of people portrayed in the movie are who we have voting people into office these days.Even political advertisements are dumbed down to a 3rd grade level.Funny an ad just doesn't say,Mr.Obama good,he give you candy and presents .Other man, bad man.He come to your house when you sleep and take your toys and candy away.

There's something sad about this blog and so many of its comments.

Ever build a house? Unless you have a community helping you do it for 'Extreme Makeover', it takes months...to build a house.

Months...to build one house. The bigger the house...the more months.

Ever work highway construction? A rebuild? Dallas is preparing to replace just 13 miles of multilane highway ...a complete rebuild... and it will take only...5 years. 13 miles of highway...5 years.

Now...any person is elected and placed in office in late January. Any person would have been in office 5 months in a week. 5 months ...in a week.

In what universe is this superhuman suppose to come in and fix a global mess in a little more than 4 months? Is this person in the White House supposed to be allergic to kryptonite? I thought it was our first African American elected to the white place...not the first superhuman???

Has he enlisted the help of Wolverine and Storm?

God...I hope so!

And where is all this misinformation flowing from??? Millions on sealing his records? 4 years the Dems held Congress?? Young white male writes his speeches?? More taxes?? Where do you guys pull this from...

...and your arse is not considered an acceptable source for political debate, though it is probably the most common source.

The questions about Mr. Obama ??? One only has to look into his history and do some simple personal research. What qualifications and life experience has this man brought to the table ? Who were his Chicago associates ? Who were his friends ? What kind of Church did he sit in for 20 very long years ??? Only after the bad press did he break away and with a very lame explanation to boot
I guess I'm still old school..I believe if it walks like a Duck..Looks like a Duck and sounds like a duck....It's probably a Duck My Friends

Tinn - Ron Paul is definitely a better option but as you said he was blasted by the media. Same media who also massacred Palin and anyone else that their owners didn't like. People forget that the people who report the news have bosses and corporations telling them what they can and cannot report and say. Freedom of the press? Hah, that's a laugh. Government is now removing stuff from the internet they don't want you to know or don't like.
And I agree with Observed that it takes time to "build a house", I don't question that. I question his credentials, ethics, morals, experience and his ability to make intelligent decisions.
I also agree with Donato and others who say we need to bring the manufacturing back to the US. The US doesn't make anything anymore so what's to export? Instead they've passed a law (though they did give a year of semi reprieval of enforcement) to force companies and home industries to have any products made for children under 12 be certified lead free. Huh? The US has been lead free for years. It's only the imports that have been coming in that contain lead. These tests can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. And if you change one thing (color, style, etc.) you have to have it tested it again. Well that effectively knocks a bunch of businesses right out of business. Old uncle Sam is kissing China's arse because we owe them so much money. And instead of demanding they clean up their act the burden is put on US businesses.
Not to mention raising taxes yet again to pay for all the bail outs of companines that should have had to clean up their own messes instead of handing them bonus money when they fail. Hmm, maybe I should appy for a bail out.
Be nice to have a jet but then again, with the price of fuel (take another bow Obama) I couldn't afford to fly the thing. Tax write off maybe? Could always live in it I guess if I could find a place to park it.

Great blog, Fr8rain!

Kind of sobering, the excuses that people will use to cover for a man making bad decisions on someone elses dime. Or scary.
.
Some of us were raised with an uncommon thought process, believing that if you work hard, you will succeed. The era of entitlement has arrived. Somehow, the wires have been crossed causing the general populace to believe they are entitled to everything... free mortgages, nationalized health care, "stimulus" money. No need to work hard anymore, Obama will "give" it to you. The trouble with this practice, there is a huge price. You give Obama your freedom, independence and pride and in return, he will take care of you.
You will have a home to live in that you don't have to pay for,(even though it will have to be built in specs to what the government believes you to need) you will have medical care (though I know MOST communities have CHRISTIAN hospitals who do not require payment when someone is unable to pay) and you will have money to put in a central banking system, also owned by the government (who will tell you how to spend it, where to spend it and what you are allowed to buy)
.
Personally, I am very disappointed in the American people. When have we become a nation of lazy people who believe we are entitled to everything? Hard work, when there is work to be had, has been the ladder to success. Someone is removing that ladder and others of us are hanging from a ledge, wildly swinging in the wind, while still others are lobbing rocks at us, taunting us for working hard and not needing someone to "bail" us out.

I have read about Obama's "qualifications". Truth be told, organizing a community is not one whit close to organizing a country. His supporters act as if standing in front of a small group of people, giving them moral support, is the epitome of leadership. All I can say is... have YOU been to those Chicago communities and seen for yourself what has or has not been accomplished? Even though I house trained my dogs, it does not give me qualifications to be a dog catcher.
Spending money to make money is the economic golden rule in these troubled times? Again, my disagreement, respectfully. You spend what you can afford, waiting for the returns on the orginal investment, which allows you to reinvest for a higher dividend. You do not "make" money, printing because you have the capability.
Regardless of race, creed, color or sex, I want someone who is actually qualified, to be my president. Not a man who believes that he holds the "power" to instill what he chooses, and if people don't like it, he will force them to accept it.
I am utterly disappointed in this president, ashamed of his values, ashamed of his faux pas, ashamed of his ignorance. And, I am even more disappointed in the general population, who continue to make excuses for a man who knows full well what he is doing, and for helping him destroy what I believe in and what my children believe in.
Thanks, again, Fr8rain. It does my heart good to see other Americans who were not deceived.

The only way to fix america is simple..erase every law passed at the federal level since 1950. Put chains on the doors of congress for 50 years. Suspend Federal elections for 50 years(Their only using our tax dollars to buy re-elections) TERM LIMITS. After 50 years re-evaluate..

We all should be aware of Obamas view on the constitution! He sees it as a document of negative restraints(what the government cant do to you) his view is what the government must do for you! I have heard so many times that the Constitution is a "living document". Its alive alright, tucked away in some obscure hospitals ICU on life support and Obamas drawing up papers to pull the plug.
Fr8rain

Jun 14 @ 1:56PM
You're right there. He's trying to change the constitution. Last I heard there were two states left that were holding out. This is something that a lot of folks don't know about. He thinks the constitution is outdated and needs to be changed to keep up with the times. As I value what little freedoms I have left I think he's out of his blooming mind.
snookslayer

Jun 14 @ 2:27PM
I have no problem with the Constitution being added to. But when you take away from it its no longer a Constitution but a list of suggestions by our founding fathers. Now the Democrats are going to try another stab at free speech with the fairness doctrine. They dont want people to be aware of whats actually going on..actually their terrified of that because history and only history will tell how we got ourselves into this mess. Liberals did it and they embrace each other with open arms. Ask yourself this..what party and their affiliates have made the most attempts to destroy the family, destroy Christianity, promote alternative lifestyles and ridicule anyone who is aginst them_________________? the answer is so obvious it doesnt even have to be multiple choice!

So you think Obamas speeches aren't writen by a young white Jon Favreau male..

Well here is the 27 year old guys name...Jon Favreau

Tell me dude.. Obama is considered a Constitutional expert.. . Would you please name One case inwhich he argued in front of any Supreme court... Name one..

You won;t find a one..Some expert..Obama taught Constitutional law.. There is an old saying..Those that can do...Those that can't teach...

Now would you please name ONE major achievement Obama did while as a Senator? You're going to find that one hard to find also..Unless you consider his Hala food act a great achievment or his nuclear profileration bill and acheivement..

That bill allowed Russia to provide Iran with nuclear fuel at the cost to the US tax payer.. Do alittle research on that subject and you'll see it true..The bill was so poorly writen Russia got paid by the US to get rid of nuclear material..They did..They sold it to Iran,,, Some legal wizard their now isn't it..
