After a long and laborious afternoon yesterday of mowing the lawn and doing yard work that never seems to get done, I realized I was thirsty and hungry.
After a peek into the fridge I saw I was low on beer and groceries and headed to the supermarket.
Once there, I figured I may as well stock up on supplies too, you know, the stuff you can’t eat: paper plates, dishwasher liquid, Tide, bleach, etc.
I have a four door pickup and just loaded my goodies on the back seat.
Before heading home, I stopped at the VFW for two beers, a cheeseburger and some jaw jacking.
Not much was happening there so I drove home and pulled into the garage.
Much to my surprise, the groceries and supplies were gone when I went to unload the truck.
Apparently I forgot to lock the doors.

It seems that someone needed a few bags of food and decided to pull the five finger discount trick on me.
They even took the inedible supplies.
What really pissed me off is that the thief stole my Pilsner Urquell!
Damn, that’s good beer and they took the entire case!
Common decency would dictate that the crook leave ONE bottle!
Geez!!!!

Oh.. MAN.... that stinks...

Last winter when the gas prices got so high..
I was afraid to fill my car up, because I was afraid my gas would get stolen..

I never use to lock the doors on my car or house..
anymore, I lock every thing up..
ever since someone came in and drank two beers out of my kitchen fridg..
how do I know.. well... this was several yrs ago.. and I had this boyfriend, we had two beers we had just opened.. then didn't want them.. so we put them in the fridg.. next day.. they were still there in the fridg.. but.. no longer full.. almost empty..
(think it was it was the lil neighbor girl)
so now... everything gets locked..

I never used to lock my truck either, but lately if I have something in it, I have been also because I've been thinking the same think with the economy the way it is. I don't leave my groceries in the back anymore either, ya never know if someone will walk by and grab a bag or two. I don't mind helping someone out, but geeez, I need them for my family too. Sorry John. Take care Lost

I don't lock my car anymore either, they will just smash the window if the door is locked. Then you lose whatever they steal, plus have a heafty glass bill. I wouldnt mind so much "donating" some of my groceries to a hungry thief. But if they tried to take my beer I would be forced to deploy the 45 auto and have them re evaluate the situation. lol Sorry about your luck pal, I wish I could buy you a cold one.

Sorry to hear the story..

Once you've been violated it's tough to trust anything anymore... I've been there too..

Where I grew up in So Cal.. it got so bad at one time... one of the places you parked your car you learned to leave everything open... it was to your best interest to even leave your glove compartment open so the thieves could see nothing of value in the car.. (this only worked if you didn't have a stereo in your car).. Maybe next time, if you leave a beer in the back of your truck, they will leave the other stuff alone

so...yeah.
lock the car...no matter where you go..even if you're
in the car itself.

Might have been an old veteran who didn't have money for food, perhaps he really needed it. Sometimes when we think we don't have alot, there is always someone who has much less than us. Sorry this had to happen to you.
