With apologies to those in Connecticut, I hate your state. I got stuck in there and was stranded at the airport for 2 days. A tiny worthless airport that couldn't keep their equipment running. And then they act as if I'm wrong for being angry because I had to spend $225 on a cab to get to another airport to leave their state of... confusion.

But after two days of boredom, dealing with idiots who can't do their job, and spending everything in my wallet, I was finally on a plane headed home. The problem was, nobody knew it. The last time I called it was supposed to be a 3:50PM arrival. And here I was, getting in at 9:00 at night. Both my cell phones were dead. And because of daily limits, I couldn't take any money out until the next day to make a call.

But as I finally arrived in Columbus, I grabbed my bag and there he was. My brother-in-law. He had waited 5 hours at the airport with no idea if I was even getting in that night.

That was my friendly reminder. Occasionally I forget, but throughout most of my life, my family are the only ones who've been there no matter what. Even when I didn't deserve it, they never turned their back on me.

So to answer another blog, yes. Integrity, pride, and honesty do still exist. But it's rare. So rare that it might be confined to my family.

Kudos to your brother-in-law!

And to you for not killing anyone along your journey!

Wow! What a nightmare. Just goes to show that not all in laws are bad.. & that your brother in law likely views you more as a true brother, than just an in law. Kudos!
