Dear misschoos, ( with a small "m" because that's the way she likes it)
You made it easy. Period. I need not say another word...but...alas...I shall.
I hope some of your perceptions of my country have been shown to be only that...perceptions. I hope I had a little to do with that.
Now you know we have real food here fer instance. Like real bacon. And real breakfast. And weird Mexican cheeseburgers. And not so French french toast. And Cheesewizz.
And now you know American Bikers can't really play pool, even with all the practice they get in the bars everyday....but they are really nice people.
And you met Duck. eeerm...nevermind.
Oz the Great and Powerful waits for the excessive amounts of treats he was getting every morning, but quite frankly, both of us are on diets now that you have left.
If you had known just how nervous I was about the food situation, you would be surprised. I guess it was my main concern, after all, we were going to do that 2-4 times a day while you were here. As it turned out .....7 times a day was not unusual. I can hear it now...." Thomas...we need to stop and get some...I am only going to be here for a short time, and I must eat try everything."
I figured out why your suitcase was so durn heavy by the way. It was the 183 LBS of candy and Koolaid. I hope your children enjoy it because I am still in traction after loading that thing in the truck.
And you are correct....we really did walk in the clouds. It took a while to find ones touching the tops of the mountains, but we did it. And you really saw it snow.
You did very well facing your fears while I was dragging you over to the edge of the bridge that crosses Fremont Canyon. I was very proud of you. You did seem to be rather pale in the face, especially after you finished puking your guts out. But you recovered quickly, once we got back to the bar. That's one reason why I like you so much......you recover quickly.
the only thing I can think of that I was sorry you missed ...was actually seeing the power and majesty of a truly huge thunderstorm...like the ones we had here last night. I heard there was a funnel cloud out by the foot of the mountain last night too, although I didn't get to see it. I was playing tunes for that beach party. I love playing my guitar out in the middle of a parking lot in the height of a really big thunderstorm...it sounds shocking I know....but I do.
It was an amazing time misschoos. You are amazing....your curiosity is never ending. About everything. I do believe you will someday....know everything about everything. Just like you say you want to....everything.
And yes...that was duck poop on the sidewalk in Colorado....
Baby ducks.....you told me you had never seen baby ducks. Took care of that one too. Along with Pronghorn, Jackalopes, Vultures, and a host of other critters.....
And we have a few pictures as well....and if you ever get the time to show me what to do with them, I will....and then you can see them too....I look at them everyday.
Well...I just finished breakfast at the Cottage, and everyone over there sends their regards. In fact, everywhere I go...the folks that were lucky enough to spend even just a few minutes with you...ask..." Is she gone yet?"
All kidding aside...they really do ask if you made it home ok...and then they always follow up with " I liked her. She was fun."
I agree. I like her too...she is a fun girl. Afraid of nothing. Well...there was one thing.....
If you are ever driving at 80 miles an hour with misschoos as your passenger people....and a bug somehow flies into the car...be ready. Maintain a tight grip on the wheel.....and be ready for misschoos to land in your lap, screaming. I have never seen anyone kill a bug as many times as she did. And then checked every 10 seconds to make sure it was still dead. And then killed it again, just to be sure. I am surprised her foot didn't go through the floorboard.
Actually...now that i think about it...there was one good thing about the "bug incident" I hadn't really considered until now. It could have been worse. She could have been driving.
I can see it all now....her totally forgetting which country she was in...which side of the road would no longer matter....ok...ok...I don't want to take this any further. It can't end good.
Ah...but it did end good...the same way it started. And I haven't even mentioned the music. That is a whole different story in itself. Amazing is all I can say right now.
I hope there is more to come. There is just a little bit of America left to see. I think she should see it all...don't you guys?
Thank you for making the extreme effort to visit me and Jake and Oz, The Great and Powerful. We all enjoyed it very much. And thank you for that letter you posted here.
With Love xxx

I asked you what something was and you told me it was a bug. Then I asked you what a different thing was and it was still a bug. We don't have those things here, so what's a girl supposed to do?
That canyon was scary, I was only a few feet into the bridge and I almost cried, it really did overwhelm me. The only reason I didn't cry is because I hang about with bikers.
Ooh and you forgot to mention the bronze sculpture of the squirrel in the tree, you spotted. Most realistic wasn't it? I didn't realise bronze could have a texture of real fur and did you see how fast it can run too?
Did you take take the dead body out of the car?

Such a wonderful, heart-warming, laughter inducing blog!!
I am looking so forward to the next time you two get together in person, which ever country it may be, that I can't even imagine how much you two look forward to it.
misschoos should have been here in my neck of the woods the last two days. We have had one BIG rumbling thunder storm after the other. I got a great pic of a long, skinny, dropping down funnel cloud (tornado if you asked me) Friday. Nearly blew me down trying to get it(as you can tell when you see the pic), I had to brace myself against a brick wall, but I got it! I will e-mail it to anyone that wants it, and post it on here in a day or two.
Bugs, did she get to see any of the fire flies (lightening bugs?)
And YES, she DEFINITELY needs to see the rest of America! Because it can be as different from state to state as it can be from country to country - foods, landscape, accents, traditions, you name it. Come on down to Oklahoma and I will take you two tent camping and visiting my friends with a strong redneck accent.
You guys keep the blogs coming. I am looking forward to reading more of your adventures.

Yanoo.. I tend to be on the sentimental side to start.. but as I have read about your experiences and the sharing you both did together and the memories that are carved in stone in your hearts and will always fill you with love even when you don't sit and think about it.. the memories will waiver in and fill you...
Thanks for sharing... may there be many more trips and experiences between you both.
