I am learning, finally, to be more self sufficient.. SO with that said.... I learned the other day how to operate my riding lawn mower. I have almost an acre of property here and TODAY was the day that I talked myself in to mowing my lawn!!!! SO found a hat, took a few minutes to remember what I was doing lol, and THEN, away I went!!!

I got most of it done at least. I was afraid to go over the rocky areas or where the weeds were very high, because I didn't know what was underneath, BUT I am SO proud of myself...

I guess it doesn't take much to make me jump for joy huh??? Oh well I know I am taking the risk of looking silly or naive, but, I just had to share. To ME, it's quite the accomplishment for me! My husband always did it, not ME.

I do NOT feel comfortable using the weed eater, so I will have to find someone to help me with that, BUT at least the main part of the lawn is done!!! Although I DO need another shower!! lol!

I feel SO empowered!!!!!!!!!!

	I very well know this feeling, Syb. It's just too bad nobody is here to videotape me doing this, though. I was about ripped out of the seat once because my ponytail got caught on a tree branch. I dang near went end over end down the hill because I hit something I was not supposed to hit. Ugh.............!!! But I am always so proud when I see the accomplishment.........when I do it myself.

	Good job. I'm gonna tell you a funny story...When I had my first apt, I didn't know to much. When my stove stopped working, I thought it was broken. SO I called the landlord and told him that...Asked for a repair man to check it out... ...Repair man checked it out. Fuse was burnt out. He was looking at me like I was an idiot...I just didn't know. Now I know Kudo's.

	Good for you... Each thing you face and conqueor will just add to your confidence. Weed eaters aren't hard to use...just wear shoes and long pants....flying hidden stones sting like crazy! I've mowed for as far back as I can remember. But the first summer I lived in a new place, I out did myself by "killing" two riding mowers in one day. Hit a hidden little tree stump with the mower deck and bent the hell out of it. The other I used to mow the empty lot for the landlord. It had a lot of hidden branches in thick grass. Sounded like I was running a wood chipper....by the time I got done that old Husky was growling like a mad dog!
