It's not even officially summer yet, but our temperatures here in Dayton, OH are soaring! We had a heat index of 98* today. Darn humidity is high too, which makes it just one of those "icky" days. Right now I'm ready for fall, but we've still got summer to go through! Okay, last winter I griped about all the cold - so here I am upset over the heat now.

Is there any place that is just perfect all year around? My oldest son is in Iraq now where it's 120* daily....but they do not have the humidity we have - they only have sand storms he said. No rain there, no thunderstorms. The only thing he sees falling from the sky are mortars and bullets.

So here I sit in my summer attire, got the a/c's blasting away, fans blowing, and drinking the water. I really feel sorry for those who are homeless! They are always on my mind and make me remember how fortunate I am to have the a/c's and fans...and a home to sit in. I guess I just need to count my blessings.

It could be worse......I love it here in Seattle..........hot but not too hot......cold just alittle ......people think it rains all the time and they couldn't be more wrong......we have little sprinkles........no downpours ect........it's very beautiful here with all the mountains as one of my friends say back east......we are surrounded by mountains and water everywhere.........

I like it that way
