This is not a blog, it's a rant. Who (the f*uck) thought up the idea that the world needs six foot cords? Phone cords, six feet long are 99ยข If you want a nine foot cord, it's $7.99 USB printer cords usually come with the printer... 6' long You want 10' ?? Office Depot has them all day long at $25.99 Pure ripoff... the difference in the wire is only a few cents. I say 'six foot long' was an arbitrary number and we are stuck with it. Like it or not.

That's my rant (rent if you have a Southern accent) for the day !

How old are those standards you cabinet makers use?
Americans are several inches taller since they were adapted, but will those furnishing guys change? NOOOOOooooo !
I guess if my low back pain from minicounters gets too bad, I can hang myself with one of those dang 6 foot cords ! ! !

Tom is right... For years and years, bathroom counters were only 30" high. Someone with a bad back complained. His wife said "He'd rather wash his face in the kitchen where he doesn't have to bend so much" Amazingly, the industry has changed to 36" high for bathrooms... Unless they have really young children or a bowl style that mounts above the countertop, We only do 3' now... Amazingly, that's exactly HALF the length of a phone cord !!
