I’ve actually been keeping a long eye on claims of global warming for little over a decade. My conclusion, weather and climate as usual. Of course you don’t and shouldn’t believe me. What you should be doing is a little investigation of your own. What you will find is that there is no difference in weather or climate phenomenon today then before. Nothing unusual , nature doing it’s thing. What is different is that the environmental movement over the decades have brought us to focus on pollution. Not a bad thing but they crossed the line. Addicted to funding like so many other groups they have created dooms day scenario’s to keep the gravy train coming or to financially benefit in other ways.

We see the exhaust from a smoke stack or other fossil burning entities and we say oh global warming. We have been trained to think that way. Not a bad thing but we have taken it to a level more harmful then the burning of fossil fuels. No different then the religious fanatic that nails himself or herself to a cross in an expression of faith to convince others of the validity of. Until I see a person walk on water with my own eyes I’ll keep my theory of origins to fact and what I can prove. Not to say that someone or something didn’t walk on water only that I wasn’t their to witness the event or have supportive evidence of such an event.

The earth was created, designed or for you big bang theorist thrown into existence with an immune system. As scientist know the earth is a living entity much like ourselves. Complete with defense mechanism, repair and sustainability. Where does all our medical antidotes come from?, mother earth. We as the human race have actually invented very little. We copied the design of nature mostly. Bears, deer, birds and so on pollute how come they don’t have any cap and trade.

In closing,

Anything taken out of context is harmful. We see religious fanatics destroy, murder and extort in the name of god and or religion but hardly compare the likes of Al Gore to the same. Global warming fanatics in their short existence have ruined and extorted billions and have caused the death of many. When ethanol shot up the price of corn and grain people in other countries starved to death. When global warming alarmist claimed the decline of water levels in and around the Great Lakes as a result of global warming so did the property values only to find that the illegal pumping of bottle water plants from Canada were the root cause. When Al Gore claimed that hurricanes will become more prevalent and intense property along ocean area’s decreased. Today, 4 years later not such an event has occurred nor has any weather or climate event been other then the norm.

I can walk on water, though only in the winter.

One of the things people dont talk about with ethanol is that it destabalizes and is prone to exploding. We actually discussed that at a fire meeting. Granted, I will admit that I havent done any research on it yet, so I cannot say if its true or not.

I was reading some old magazines in a house I take care of. The one thing I found to be funny was they were worried about global cooling and another ice age. I think, If I remember correctly, they were talking about trying to melt the polar ice caps to stop it. I dont remember the year, but it was in the 70's

Al Gore is a hypocritical liar. If he was truly concerned about the enviornment, then why didnt he shut off the lights at his place in TN? Oh yeah, I forgot, do as he says, not as he does. That would be like having Jim Jones be the pope. Kool aid anyone? All he will ever be is a business man with the intent on making money. I could invent a miracle glowing cross and tell you how great it is and feel its warmth and miracleness, does that make me a xtian? People need to get off the al gore train and realize he is the one causing global warming when his mouth opens.

As far as the animals are concerned, obama hasnt figured out if they are Republican or democrat, so the jury is still out whether or not to tax them.

Lets see...... about 25 - 30 years ago, weren't they predicting that the earth was in imminent danger of entering another ice age? What happened? Did we do TOO good a job of thwarting that disaster?

Back in the 60's, the smog over US cities was so thick it was always like a cloudy day. Banning additives like lead and sulfur and adding oxygenates like Ethanol has cleaned up emissions, and the air. EXCEPT.... if you go to China, or Mexico City where there are no such restrictions, the air is still polluted. But, they are considered to be "emerging countries" and are exempt from restrictions they call for in the Kyoto treaty. WTF?

Oh... speaking of ethanol & starving people....... From around 1990 to 2005, corn prices traded in the $2.00 to $2.50 range. There were occasional spikes up, but the trend line average was flat for over 10 years! And yet, people still starved around the world. Somalia, Ethiopia.... their problems were drought, civil war, non-existent economies and starving had nothing to do with Ethanol. Lately, with the lower value of the US Dollar vs world currencies, our grain is just as cheap today as it was 5 - 10 years ago. So, that dog don't hunt.

During the rise of the stock market & housing market to record heights, the farm economy was just barely getting by. However, for the first time in quite a few years, the farm economy is healthy. Ethanol gets more credit than it should for the rise in grain prices last summer. The fact is, we have been pouring billions of dollars into China's economy and in doing so, have raised their standard of living. When people have better living conditions, they want better food, and this has resulted in huge grain imports into China, and more grain exports for the US. And when farmers have money to spend, they don't run to Wal-mart and buy crap from China. They spend their money on Chevy, Ford, and Dodge trucks. They buy John Deere & Case / International Harvester equipment, made in USA.

We have a HUGE trade deficit. Money is pouring out of the country every month at a shocking rate. On the plus side, our biggest exports are airplanes & airplane parts, and the big 3 of grains: Soybeans, Corn, and Wheat. Just an FYI

you know what, it's been proven scientifically over and over and it is so obvious that there is global warming and we are indeed already suffering from it that it is quite silly to try and prove it to a man like you. Have a lovely day.

Jun 23 @ 9:14AM
Global warming had NOT been proven. Just because the media listens to those who scream louder does not make it so. I do my part to keep the enviornment clean. I recycle and do what I can to make sure I dont leave a mess. Not because of global warming, because I dont like seeing others garbage everywhere. Global warmings pied piper is nothing more than a mouth peice for politics.
What about global cooling and the experts that were warning of a new ice age years ago? They were wrong so why not these fruits that claim global warming is the new threat? Do your research before spouting anothers words.

I beg to differ, our grain is not as cheap today as it was even two years ago. I have horses and I used to pay $3 a bag a few years ago, last year it went up to almost $9 when the gas prices went up, now it's $7.50 for the same grain. It's all because of the corn. What I don't understand is my family has some land, and the Government will pay you to "not" grow some crops on it. Now how strange is that? They control what is grown and what is not grown. As far as Al Gore, we don't even have emission testing in many parts of TN, and he lives here, he owns shares in coal mines here, and yes, he uses three times the amount of power than the average citizen here, so he's pretty much a joke to us Tennesseans. The coal mines here pollute quite a bit. Don't get me wrong, we like our hotrods and I don't mind not having to test. But he is quite the hypocrite. Ever since they started taking down temperatures and keeping records, there are times when the Earth has been much warmer than it is now and much colder, and who knows before record keeping started? Supreme....

Yikes Al Gore is very impressed with himself along with being highly paid to give lectures on whatever his current sacred cow is. He has to keep Tipper in her finery on the plantation. He learned his sincerity from MASTER Clinton and it's hard to believe anything he says...about ANYTHING.

Basically..he sucks

Lost, I thought it was a higher power consumption rate for gore. I think the last thing I read was almost 23 times the amount. I could be wrong, but doubt it. Running a/c is very expensive.

Last Winter we had record amounts of Global Warming.
I had to shovel it off my driveway 30+ times.
Winter was also colder and longer than it ever was.

I'll be happy when i have palm trees sprouting in my yard. Until then, i still say it's a load of poo.

I lived on the beach for many years. No matter what the 'experts' say, I still saw MORE building and increase in property values where I lived. As a matter of fact, after every single devastating storm in the USA there was an INCREASE in land sales and building in Crystal Beach Texas. A huge SPURT in building. I never saw the prices go down. Only up.

Jun 23 @ 10:14AM
That's what ive heard Ravin.
Other people have said the same thing.
Michigan is obviously having problems because all of our eggs in one basket (big 3) are going down the crapper. We have an excuse for our problems.
But how about other states and areas that people still have jobs and seem to be buying loads of property.? Las Vegas, Florida places like that. They still seem to be booming.

There was just a subdivision put in about a mile from my house. All the houses are $250,000 +. There's hundreds of homes. Why would any company build houses in Michigan like that? What's funnier is that people are buying them.

It's just not very convincing when they claim the economy is so bad, we have a %12 unemployment rate and those houses sold for that amount.
I just don't believe much of what's being said.

Sorry, i'm off topic Supreme

The earth wobbles on it's axis, a cycle that repeats itself every twentysix thousand years.
13,000 years ago we were at the cold extreme of that wobble, within a couple of thousand years the ice age began to end. Now we are at the hot extreme of that cycle and it seems reasonable that in a couple of thousand years we will see (or someone we hope is around to see) things start to cool.

Places today in north africa that are desert were lush with water and plant life until six or seven thousand years ago, we didn't cause the global warming that ended that and I suspect our overall influence is much less than we are being led to believe.

It's about money and power.

Earth is a living organ.... These global warming people have no idea what reducing any levels of anything will actually do in the end result..

Carbon and other elements serve a process on our planet..Reducing the levels of one may actually cause a problem somewhere else down the line.. It's all a guessing game..And nothing but that..

If you lower the carbon output...Who is to say you don't actually cause other levels of elements to go up.. Remember earth is a living organism and things on it really never die... Even the human body never dies off..You just change form.. Think about it now..You die off the bury you..The worms come and eat you..Your now apart of the worm.. The worm craps..You change form again. The crap of the worms goes into the earth..a plant grows from the soil..the soil certains the worms crap..You change form again..your now a flower...A bee comes along and does it's thing.. You change form again..Get the picture..You never die..

Sounds weird you say..But life is weird... But it's true the human body never dies..Even a dead thing of anything on earth truly never dies.. It changes in form..Serious... ;-)

perhaps if each one of us paid less attention to what everyone says and get out there to plant at least 5 trees a month, they would create more oxygen.

we need to play catch-up now, the Amazon rain forest is coming down at an alarming rate. some places are heating up some freezing up, so what... we need more trees.

Your knowledge or lack of knowledge, belief, or lack of belief, has zero effect on reality.

There are cities in China with populations of over 100,000 people, of which you are totally unaware. They somehow manage to exist, none the less.

Say you don't believe in them, and they are still there.

yup that'll help... and if you continue planting 5 trees every month and convince others to do the same, you will make a huge improvement over time

not to mention, how much more beautiful it will be in 10 years time

go green, the earth will show its love in return

Earth has a repair system??? Sustainability?

Okay...so...the Cretaceous die-off of the dinosaurs??? How well did that repair job go? I want to see me some big ol' dinosaurs? Show me a Mesosaur? A Triceratops? Pteradactyl? How about a psuedodontornis?

How about the great Permian-Triassic die-off where it is estimated 90% of all species extant at the time, died off?

Let's make it easier....

Show me a herd of a million buffalo roaming Iowa?

Show me a flock of passenger pigeons that block out the sun?

Hmmmm....

Repair system???

SB... You know better...

What can be broken...in any system...can be broken irreparably. Over 100 million fresh water wells in the US can't be used anymore...because of humans and their chemicals. I have a car sitting off the driveway with a transmission that has no reverse of 1st or 2nd gear. The system broke down...irreparably.

It's known as the tipping point. Within parameters...many systems are self healing. The earth has never had a static stasis or state of balance. It is always changing, always has been. I use to bike on a road as a kid that no longer exists because of a tributary of the Allegheny undermining the hillside and removing the roadbed. That is the earth.

And it doesn't take all of us being energy hogs to change the planet. Passenger pigeons passed away in part because America has always had a subculture of people who like to shoot live things just to shoot em...buffalo, eagles, hawks, owls, pigeons....sparrows! If we can give em a stick that makes noise, they'll do their darnedest to wipe out some fool thing that just is so great as a target... Not even most of us were shooting them pigeons...and still...we wiped em out in a very short period of time.

That's how out of balance we live.

I think the main addiction you might want to attend to...is your addiction to refusing to use the rules of logic and evidence as taught in law schools...top universities...or anywhere else where beliefs don't precede inquiry and reasoning. And not just your addictive refusal to using the rules of logic and evidence, but your addiction to posting the same non-valid arguments again and again and again...

And the earth repaired itself and life went on. So your comparing a massive asterorid hitting the earth at let's say 75,000 mph to green house gas emission?.You starting sound like Al Gore Observed50.

Over 100 million fresh water wells in the US can't be used anymore...because of humans and their chemicals

I'm glad you brought this up Observed50 because it this type of pollution is the most serious threat and yet we do little about it. Why?, becuase there is no money in it.

Man made global warming has to be true why?, energy and energy is big money.

Every dooms day prediction these buffoons made since the 70's not a one of them have come true or remotely true. The IPCC is filled with a bunch of radical environmentalist and grant addicted scientist. The scientist that dispute their theories get kicked out. 6 scientist had to sue the IPCC to stop using their names in their fraud. I say fraud because from watching the interview with these 6 scientist in regards to their lawsuit they summed up the IPCC as an organization committing massive fraud on the world. From manipulating data to outright liying.

They weren't predicting, it was imminent. In fact we shouldn't even be here having this conversation.
