The only one I have a problem with is the glasses. I believe that should be left to the individual. Ronnie Milsap wears them, and I don't think anyone should be able to tell him he can't.
I do have a question about the last one. Is ignorance singular or plural? I'm not familiar with this usage of the word. I figure you meant ignorants, but if there are people round here claiming to be Mensa members, I wasn't one of them.

Boy, I was sort of with you, up until that doctor talk.
Most advice in old books is time-tested Some of it is still crap! But, I got a lot more help from them than from doctors!
Come to think of it, though, most of them were written by doctors or about doctors and their advice, so that is sort of 'yaye' and 'naye' at once to your idea
