I had a realization today....

For as long as she has been able to speak, my two year-old daughter has always called me "diddy". LOL. And hearing her little voice mispronounce that word always warmed my heart in ways i can't even express.

Well, for the first time this morning... on my way out to go to work... she said "bye bye daddy". I was thrilled! And i kneeled down and hugged her and said "Good Job... yes, daddy. You said that good!"

But, in the car, i realized... the days of her calling me diddy were over.

Just like that.

Now I'm daddy.

And i realized it went too quick. Way too quick. I want to hold on to her just like she is... forever. But i can't. Each day that goes by, she will get more and more independent and self-sufficient, until one day... she'll be gone.

I need to live more in the moment... we all should i think.

	It goes by so fast. I know a little guy that called smoke stacks, moke nacks. I recorded it before he grew too old to say it that way. Just cherish the memories.

	Awwww...I'll call ya diddy... What's it mean if yer wife calls ya that? In all of our lives, time is seemingly so long...until it's yesterday, and then we can't believe it came and went so fast. Some women I dated I had stuffed and put in the bedrooms upstairs...just so they'd always look that hot. Dusting them kinda creeps me out though, specially if I haven't been in the rooms for a spell.

	I too love it big time when my little girl would mispronounce words at that age, but, I do have to say, I have enjoy every age she has reached. I am truly blessed to have her, if I did one thing right in my life by raising her to be a very smart, self-confidence girl who is also quite compassionate, then my life has already been fulfilled. I am glad to see you feel the same way about your daughter, very kool. Ps, I am also lucky she not a rep too,lol

LOL Nothing wrong with a young lady with morals and values....... aka Rep. ummmm... 1. i doubt she will turn out a republican after growing up in a house with my wife and I and 2. People who don't hold "conservative" political views have morals and values too. geez RWR. In fact, I'm pretty sure Jesus Christ himself would have been a liberal.... uh oh, are those fightin words?
