Say Neighbor can you spare a Smile
As long as I’ve been driving and I must admit that has been awhile.
I’ve had made a habit of keeping extra’s in the car or truck I was in. Extra batteries, disposable flashlights, flares, blankets, first aide kits and whatever all had a place.
LOL Blame it on the Boy Scouts or my parents.

These “extras” have been replaced so many times I gave up trying to keep track by the time I was 19. For those that remember being on the road before cell phones or highway roadside Emergency Phone standards and CB’s, it could be pretty lonely at night or a long empty stretch of road.
I grew up in a time when stopping to help a stranded motorist was acceptable behavior.
Have been to more accidents, stalled cars, flats, stuck in a ditch than my body wants to remember. Most time I was one of those that stopped before the Police arrived. LOL No Knight Errant I, just someone raised to keep an open hand.

Some times I got lucky and my “extra’s” got replaced with donations of Flares or Med kits from some local or state police officer. Would not accept money from those I stopped for. Although I have shared a meal with a few afterward.. Oh I did charge everyone I stopped to help… My Price was steep for some and to easy for others..
Pass on the favor to at least one other.
These days I keep a spare Smile in my “whatever” Kit. .. Neighbor do you need an extra Smile
