A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street together and came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his office for a job. He then took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person. The Democrat was impressed, so when they came to another homeless person, he stepped forward to help. The Democrat gave the homeless person directions to the welfare office, then reached into the Republican's pocket and got out another $20. The Democrat kept $15 for administrative costs and gave the homeless person $5. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE?

I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because I'm sure that left-wing educators have better influence on my childrens outlook on life than parents.
I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

In the past eight years of their "cleaning up", the economy crashed, stocks plummeted, and real estate values imploded. The only thing that got bigger was the national debt.
The "cleaning up" was really "cleaning out" both the national treasury and the baby boomers retirement savings.
Yes, the Bush gang "cleaned up" in the Jesse James sense.

As always, I am amazed that there are some who still believe that one party is any better, any worse, or any different than the other. Both have contributed to the current mess, and neither will/care/can fix things. The more involved govt becomes in private matters, the more they screw them up.
The only difference between current dems & current repubs is where the money they BOTH are lining their pockets is coming from...

Things could be make worse... If I remember correctly when Reagan took over after Carter he was left to deal with an 10.8 percent unemployment rate... Much higher then Obama was handed.. He never cried nor did he ask for a stimulus package to drive the nation deeper into debt...
You can't buy your way out of a modern day recession when you have debt lingering over your head... So where will we be 4 years from now.. I think our children will be standing on street corners with a tin cans saying to by passers.. "brother can you spare a dime"..

Nothing more true was ever spoken. The place where you went wrong was thinking the Republicans are less guilty of it than the Democrats. Lets get real. NOBODY will ever get elected in America unless he lies to the idiots. I've been around since 1968 and I have to admit I was one of the idiots for a couple of decades. I'm an idiot no longer. You, along with 99 percent of all super patriots drive, wear, or watch foriegn products. You buy a Toyota, Americans lose thier jobs.
You, along with 40 percent of the electorate will vote Republican no matter what. This is called a core voter. Your vote is a given. Another 40 percent of the electorate will vote Democratic. More core voters. So in the end, elections are decided buy 20 pecent of the electorate; the independant voter. Independants usually vote issues so, you see, your vote doesn't count. Politicians are elected by the only thinkers in America. The only problem with this is the strangle hold Dems and Reps have on elections.
You along with 99 percent of Americans don't want taxes. This is interesting since 100 percent of Americans want to continue all the services offered and increase spending on anything that might benefit them.
So in ending, buy American when you can, support our troops, pay your taxes, GET A JOB, and vote for the person who promises less because he will be the MORE honest of the two. And in the words of JFK, who was no more honest than most presidents, Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country. Silly, huh? Oh, you might quit crying. It won't make anything better but at least I won't have the urge to get you a bottle.

True democracy no longer exist in America. Congress has been spending the money of our future generations. They cant vote. Not having a balanced budget that DOES NOT REQUIRE BORROWING money is borderline treason. I thought vote buying was illegal. Politicians are not stupid people.. most of them are stinking lawyers( and I rate a lawyer only one rung up the ladder of humanity above a child molester). If you feed me I will vote for you..pay my mortgage.. put a roof over my head and all I have to do is pump out kids I cant afford I will vote for you. The U.S government is the ultimate Ponzi Scheme.

TERM LIMITS period. Our founding fathers could not imagine a carreer politician. Look at Robert C. Byrd of WV. hes been in the Senate since the Roman empire fell. He has done absoloutely nothing for WV.. sure he transferred Government jobs to WV.. if he had his way he would relocate all of them there. But these are not private jobs. The Congress has proved that it will not even consider term limits, why would they? they have the best job in the world! and they dont even have to make any tough choices.. they know they can get re-elected by spending my money. Look at California. They tried to be everything to all people and now their beyond broke. America is heading in the same direction.

Let's see, in the first months under bush we got attack, then he got us into an unjust was costing Americans over a trillion dollars and over 4,200 brave dead soldiers.
By the end of his time as president, our country is bankrupted, 50 million were without health ins, the stock market crashed, the housing market dropped off the face of the earth, unemployment rose, oil prices rose to the highest ever and foreclosure rate rose to their highest level.

Now the latest health plan might be just give your family member a pain pill instead of fixing the pain, wow that will save money, I can't wait to let the Government call the shots on whether or not you will have a surgery or not. And it's going to cost more to boot.

Check for yourself and see what dems voted YEA to authorize Lil Bush to "do what he felt was right" with Iraq. Helpful hint: you'll find the names of your current VP, sec of state, your prez and VP candidates from '04, and many, many other prominent dems....
Check for yourself and see what dems voted time and time again to continue to authorize the $$ to implement and maintain the Iraq invasion. Another helpful hint: you'll find the same above mentioned dems + your precious savior of a current prez on that list...
Fact: lil Bush couldn't have paid for the gas for one Humvee without Congress...DEMS INCLUDED...authorizing it!!!
Yeah, the whole Iraq mess is and has always been a terribly misguided and gawd awfully carried out fiasco...but the blood of those who have perished in that mess is a serious stain on the hands of repubs and dems equally alike.
