The topic in my mind this morning is the number of head bashing, hey look at me, you're all gonna die blogs that insult their readers. Since you all know the answers to the problems in America... I suggest you actually do something about it... offer a solution instead of a complaint. We hear complaints all day and every day and people who complain too much get 'tuned out' So stop crying wolf... change your story... Sure we're all going to pay more taxes. That wasn't obvious? Unless you and your friends in high places have some formal retreat or safe haven that you're not disclosing you all are going to be flushed down the same toilet as the rest of America. In closing... stop acting like you're a writer for the National Inquirer just trying to sell more magazines. Be more responsible in your blogs... don't complain if you don't have a viable solution. Nobody likes a whiner.
This is my blog. It represents my responsible opinion. Your opinion may vary.

Nobody likes a whiner. That's an interesting twist on what defines a whiner on here Chat. My opinion of whiner is not those who write the blogs but rather those that whine about what is written in so many types of blogs. If certain people don't like certain types of blogs I wonder why they keep reading them. There is an old saying that if you can't take the heat stay the hell out of the fire. Sounds like good advice to me.

Please let me know when they stop their whining and begin offering solutions to the topics they blog about...
Good comment Trinity

My nephew owns a 25 acre green farm, and though not ventured into as a retreat it very well could be one. I kind of agree with your blog, but; I gave my sloution, and here it is again. In my dooms day mind the people mobilize and become a stronger special intereat group than the ones controlling our destiny now. Admittedly I don't have the resources to effectively put this into motion, but; the only true failure is one that doesn't try. Also admittedly, it is hard to get people involved when all they want is to blog about how their credit card didn't work properly at the gas pump. You are also right in that it is time to offer specific solutions, so I will.

I have a solution, but people dont have the stomach for it. It would make Hitlers final solution look small and insignificant.
1, Stop being ignorant and get off your couch, chair, or whatever you sit in/on and do something.
2, Shut the idiot box off and read about whats going on.
3, Stop being ignorant.
4,Stop worrying abot things that have no impact on your life.
I am not trying to sell anything. I am just so sick of people doing nothing because they are lazy and ignorant. They see al gore say global warming is bad and then stop any more thought.
Let people tune me out, and when they fall prey to the governments agenda, I will be there laughing and saying those 4 words that mean everything to me. I told you so. I actually prefer it that way.
How many people actually read the new bill being pushed? How many of them voted on it and dont know what was in it? The ignorance goes all the way to the top of the government food chain. Why were 300 pages left out? Dont worry though, after work I will be back to blog more. Ignore it if you wish.
The sky isnt falling, intelligence is though.

Oh Chat, you're so right. All the finger pointing, know-it-all bravado and snarky comments are exhausting. You can truly make a difference by volunteering for a pet cause; a shelter, soup kitchen, a church, or writing letters, joining like-minded committees or helping out at the local or state offices. Anyone who WANTS to do something can find a way and you'll soon realize that helping beats howling any day!

Wouldn't it be great if the people ranting on here 12 hours/week instead went outside and gave their time and energy to a worthy cause? Any cause, just pick one or two. It takes the same amount of energy to do good, that is does to pick apart others or our leaders and country.
I volunteer for the Red Cross a few times a month and they are ALWAYS looking for help. As are churches (just pick one), advocates for children (usually by county), crises centers and so much more. I try to keep busy with giving of my time and energy to these causes that I believe in.
Plus I usually skip over the ridiculous blogs that spew violence, hatred, ranting and obscenities. You can usually tell by the title or author what is being written for attention and of no substance.

Thankfully we have the freedom to read or not read. Even being new here I've noticed I'm looking more at the posters name rather than the topic or if the topic catches my eye, then look at the posters name. There are just a couple of names I won't waste my time reading their blogs anymore.
Funny I didn't realize this until I was typing it out. Learn something new everyday.

Here, Here Fayvorite...I don't waste My Precious time on posters who engage in writing Negative blogs that end up being Energy Sucking Black Holes.
There ARE more Important things to focus on...For instance this last week and a half I have Not been paying attention to Anyone's blogs...I have been helping a young Mother get safely out of a drug house with her Baby.
She kept trying to pay me...but I kept telling her no, do me a favor and Pay it Forward, help someone when you see someone who needs Help. I told her That Is the World that I want to live in.
She told me I was one of the Few Whole People she had Ever known

For most it's just easier to complain .. I think a lot of the complaining comes from people who feel helpless about how to solve a situations... so you complain hoping someone else will do the work or give you the answers you are looking for.. It's also a natural thing.. you complain when you don't feel well... you complain when you are hungry and so on... only things different, most of those you can do something about..
In blogland, it's just a forum where people can get things off of your chest... I'm not convinced that everyone is really that concerned to find an answer. They are just wanting you to be aware of what injustices they see..
Just my penny thought of the day

don't complain if you don't have a viable solution. Nobody likes a whiner. good advice.... and the next one that screams about Al Gore we should all just say:
be a solution not the problem.... plant 5 trees a month from now on.
did you know, 4 trees are used for disposable diapers for every child born and that is assuming they wear them for just the first 2 years of the childs life....
so every parent owes this earth at least 4 trees for each child they brought into our world.
