Cookie's latest blog about women and tattoos is the inspiration for this blog. When I was 27 years old, I briefly dated a Jewish girl (around the age of 24) who came to Florida for the summer and was staying at her parents condo near me.

She was a cutie-pie with Natalie Wood looks and an addiction for pot and oral sex.
Not much different than girls her age, she was quite impulsive and eager to show me her cherry tattoo near her... cherry !

It was low enough to be covered by a bikini or panties... at the time. Todays thong panties would certainly reveal her tattoo. She was a tiny girl, a wild child at best. Opposite to her outward appearance, she held inside a fear about her Jewish upbringing and the pressure that awaits when her parents find out she has a tattoo. Something her Jewish parents must have told her "You cannot get to heaven if you have a tattoo"

Mr & Mrs Shapiro... trust me, that tattoo ain't nutthin' to worry about...

I'm not going to hell for my tattoo. I was so tired of people telling me that.
Of course, it's from the same people who have their ears pierced. LOL

My grandmother asked me what I was gonna say about my tattoos when/if I get to heaven. I told her that was easy. I'm gonna leave those here with the rest of my body. Kinda like Chat said. Tats are the least of my worries.

Not taking a tatoo to heaven brought back a memory from long ago when dancing with a friend who was in a wheelchair who said, "His heaven was going to be all down hills". I remember freaking out and telling him that he wasn't go to take his wheelchair to heaven for Pete's sake! For some reason I've pondered over that a lot off and on at odd times.

So very true. Our bodies aren't going with us.

"His heaven was going to be all down hills
That's really cute. But he won't need hills in Heaven. He will have a body that works.

Your skin is the devils slipcover.
Yes it is. I have no problem leaving mine behind. Adios to evil

I'm rather pleased with my tattoo. It's something I had wanted for a decade, but I never got it as long as I was able to donate blood. Once I was removed from the donation list (due to hypertension), I just needed a friend to provide some "peer pressure"...
