Yes, just another losing day for the republicans.

Newsflash, Minnesota supreme court just sided with Al Franken as the new US senator for that state.

Now, the dems have the 60 votes to make filibustering pointless.

Now, the rep party went from losing big time to the party of no to the party of did you say something, lol

How bad is this news, they couldn't even beat Al Franken, lol

Here's the really bad news..

Both parties trashed your economy.
Both parties voted to send your jobs overseas.
Both parties voted for a war based on lies and misinformation.
Both parties voted to circumvent or legislate parts of your Constitution away..
Both parties gave away billions of your tax money to the very same people who robbed you.
And both parties have now become corporate entities where we once had a free market.

But want to know what the REALLY, REALLY bad news is?

People as yourself keep rooting for these whackos.

I think either one that was victorious I would view on with suspicion, far too many voting frauds these days, its an epidemic I'm afraid. As for the court systems, theres even corruption there too the news is full of it.

It's really not a shoe in for any party. There are the blue dog Dems of the south not to speak of Arlen Spector who are much more Republican than what they call themselves. So, I suppose we will get watered down change with no real health care system that serves us all. We will continue to wage war where we should not and to give in to conservative issues that have no other truth than to perpetuate corporate welfare. The conservatives will continue to rape and pillage as usual.

How easily we forget Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan.
imlost2

Jun 30 @ 4:42PM
What can ya say about Reagan, he was one of those rare men, and Arnold sure has his hands full with his state in the red all the time doesn't he? Maybe they "should" stick to acting. Personally, I like Arnold but taking on a job with little credentials is a train wreck in most cases especially in today's world Lost

Once again, you're dead wrong.....

Lieberman and Specter aren't locks at all...and there are a few other dems that aren't marching in lockstep either...

If you were right, the vote to close Gitmo would have been a lock wouldn't it???

That's how I feel about Bush. Are you saying we finally agree on something?

If I ever vote again, it will be for Joshua.

Political parties are nothing more than a horse show with talking horses. Bush made things seem so bad so Obama would look like the countrie's saviour. Bush brought in Homeland Security and Patriot Act, now our rights are fading fast, the government owns more and more, and everybody believes what they're told.

Oh crap, I didn't know Inside Edition was on.....gotta run.......
imlost2

Jun 30 @ 6:41PM
Now Chat, if your talking credentials, and comparing them to Obama, I'd say we'd agree. Fat chance otherwise, even Bush had more than Obama since Obama seems to want to hide anything he seems to claim to know and voted mostly "present". I mean no one even heard of the guy until he ran for President, come on now, everyone knows that. Community organizer hardly applies. Today, I watched ex President Clinton on TV and he even gave Bush a lot of credit saying that Bush kept to his word in achieving his promises during his time in office and couldn't have predicted tragedies that occurred. It really surprised me that he was backing Bush. Lost

This wasn't a losing day for Republicans. It was just the reality check that they lost a long time ago.

Litigously fighting against democracy doesn't help you when your primary fear tactic is to claim the other side wants to end democracy.

Jun 30 @ 8:22PM
And now with a filibuster proof dem majority they will have nobody to blame but themselves when they get their butts kicked in 2012. Minnesota is even more liberal than Massachusetts yet republican governor Pawlenty is serving his second term. MN. is required to maintain a balanced budget but when the dems wanted to raise taxes to balance it Pawlenty vetoed and informed them that he would balance it himself with cuts. Yeah Pawlenty!! Too bad you're not in the White House.

I hate to rain on your parade, but the founding fathers did not want a 'democracy'.
This is a Constitutional Republic (or supposed to be..)

Sorry..the devil made me do it.

Some of you might be rejoicing but the economy is not getting any better, people are losing jobs. The only thing that is getting bigger is government and the only way the government can make money is taxes. If people don't have jobs they can't pay taxes. So the burden is going to fall to those who do have jobs. I'm 65 so maybe 30 more years left on earth. What about some of you younger people, what are you going to do?

I know..

I don't want to be shallow, but you really have to laugh.

Americans gets robbed by both these parties for the past 15 years and who do they do?

Vote the same parties.

Kind of like a guy breaks into your house and then you call his get away driver for security..

Cracks me up.

Man,it's been a really bad year to be a rep, first, their Loser of a president,"GWB" sinks the economy to a disaster to help ensure the dems a total slam dunk in the house and the senate. Then Spector changes sides, lol

Then, Olympia snow the rep from Maine helps Obama, if that wasn't enough, the family value party has a senator and a gov get caught cheating on their wives.

Ding ding round 15, the dems win a filibuster proof house and senate with Al Franken being anme today as Minn new US Senator.

Now, come on reps, you have to admit this year was an asswhooping if there ever was one.

The American public has spoken loud and clear, they don't trust reps and saw how evil minded they are by their actions when they have the power.

I will be kind and hand each of you die hard a box of tissue because you still can't get over getting your ass whooped.

As a Minnesotan..................... If given the chance I would vote Franken again if his opponent was Norman. I did vote for Reagan. I did not vote for Ventura because I don't like wrestlers. I would vote for Jerry Springer and should George Lopez run he has my vote too.

Experienced politicians only know the ropes better on how to screw the system. Even Clinton could screw using only a cigar on "that" woman. Yes, I admit that I voted for him too. Obama also got my vote as did the Bush men. Let's not forget Carter. He also got my vote. This leaves me 100% on voting every president in. Fight it and deny it all you want but I couldn't have been the only one who voted these men in. At least I have the ovaries to admit it and the backbone to stand by my decisions.

Ronnie was an actor and we elected him President.
Arnie is an actor and he's Governor of California.
Al....well, he's only a comedian but give him time for pete's sake.
I guess my point is that a people generally get the leaders they deserve.
Americans today are "consumers", not "citizens".
I'd say we've got what we deserve.

It is supposed to be a Constitutional Republic. that ended decades ago. We are a Capitalist society ruled by democracy(mob rule). This is what we have come to. Democracy is when 51% of the people get to tell the other 49% what their rights are.

I have said it before and I'll say it again...I am leaving this country in 14 days. I will not return. I would rather live in China with a free market totalitarian Communist regime than put up with the hypocrisy that this country has become. I love America, but I am truly ashamed of it.

Great fan of Al Franken not as funny as Bush though but I think that Franken's humour is intentional and he did give Fox and Limbaugh one hell of a kicking

There is an old Norse saying..

Praise no day until evening,
no wife until buried,
no sword until tested,
no maid until bedded,
no ice until crossed,
no ale until drunk.

There is much ice to be crossed in the coming years.

I would save my boasting until you get to the other side.

I think after seeing what both parties have done to this country there is no room for bragging from anyone..

Maybe it's time to stop this partisan retoric and start looking at us.

We're the ones that put these parties in office and then have egg on our faces.

Then we go back to arguing again of 'who did it'..

I'll give you the short answer.

Both parties did it.

If you want to put a face on who allowed these parties to do it.

Look in the mirror.

So this is no bs, no one ever agrees with Hollywood, well almost no one, or maybe you want more of them to run, maybe? Lost

I remember when Maggie was in power in England and Reagan in the States.

Both had the same policies.. tax low..

People in England were buying thier homes starting up businesses.. plenty of money.. holidays, and good pay from employers.

Reagan had the same policies..

Say what you will about them.. the systems WORKED
