Not that....
I can promise, every night, I cuddle up to my pillow, and I get fantastic ideas to write.
I get up in the morning...and, go, uh...wha? Where did it go?
My short term memory stinks. I don't know where I went yesterday (I may be sorry for that one!
I can tell you the names of every teacher I had, and most Principals. I remember getting ill at school in first grade, and those "gun" inoculations.
Even though my Grandparents lived 80 miles away-I could find every gravel road to get there...yet-put me in the "Hills" here (which is part of our town) and I could circle the blocks for as many hours as I could have driven out of town.
At family get-togethers, someone could bring up (for example) what we use to do on Fridays....I'd say- Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Hawaii 5-0....popcorn, and orange juice mixed with 7-up.
I can remember my little sister being scared to death of shadows, my Mom taking in a sick baby Blue Jay, and keeping it because it had a condition.
And, who are you people?
I remember ALL of childbirth, except the pain. Well-except it hurt like a @#$%^, just not the EXACT pain...
But-did I put gas in my truck?
Well- I guess I'll find out when I leave in the morning, to return my kids, rent some retro, get some 7 up....and see if ANYONE pumps gasoline anymore...

Boy, oh boy can I relate to this one! :) Glad to hear I'm not alone :) BTW, wanna be friends? I'd love to chat more with you. I did notice the ribbon for cancer. Have you or has someone in your family had it? My mom is a cancer survivor, 1 year ago today. PTL!

And it all gets better as we get older

I forget what I'm doing right in the middle of doing....OH! Shiny!
I can remember my parents taking me to Disneyland when I was three years old, but I don't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. Did I even eat? Sometimes I forget to eat. It takes a special sort of stupid to forget to eat.
I can tell you the name of every cat I've owned since I was 2 years old, in chronological order, but I couldn't tell you the name of my daughter's 4th grade teacher.
Sometimes I forget...wait...what were we talking about again?

My personal take on it is plastics and aluminum. Both cause brain and health problems. If you drink out of a plastic bottle that got hot, you are drinking pthalates. No, not dioxins. Pthalates are the chemicals that makes the plastic flexible. You heat it and it migrates out of the bottle into whatever fluid is in the bottle. This is why plastics start to crack as they get older. The pthalates have migrated out.
Alumimun, cans, cookware (don't forget that coated cookware is also plastic and under it is...wala! Aluminum!), foil...etc. That stuff combines in liquids and foods as well. People that die with alzheimers, they have found a preponderance of aluminum in the brain. Metal. Hey, our power supply is up there. It causes shorts in our systems. So we have problems with the firing of the signals. Nail a wire and what happens? It shorts the wire out. Ditto for aluminum in the brain.

Yep, they still pump gas, but now they make you go inside and run your debit card yourself although it has the same capacity to be run as a credit card, meaning that you have to get up out of your vehicle, pre-approve the amount, go back out, and the attendant is still not there at your car. Hell, I just pumped the gas myself.

I drink out of bottles...I always have...it's what me Mum taught me, right after learning how to suck for my sustenance.
Somehow...I still suck out of bottles, as you can probably tell.
So! My point...being...ummm....
Damn it...I hate it when that happens....... But sometimes it's cans......
Boy! Haven't they got flimsy these past few years?
Squeeze a beer can too hard while ya try ta open the dang thing and.......
What ever happened to steel cans?
When did that change?
I musta missed that one.
And all this time I thought I was getting in shape.

Oh yeah...I even remember being tossed in the air by my granny's friend Mrs. Archul when I was six months old.
Pump gas? The only place I know for that is Jersey...cheap gas and no self-service.
Actually I even remember getting free glasses with fill-ups and free dishes at the movie theatre.
Never had OJ and 7-UP though - sounds pretty good, but these days I might put a bit of vodka in there too.

I pulled up to the store the other day, got out of my car, and started walking towards the door. I was fishing in my purse for my keys so I could push the little button to lock the door, but I didn't have them. I went back to the car, and not only were they keys still in the ignition...
...but I had left the car running! DOH!

hee hee hee I can remember both digging into the Nestle Quik, while sitting in my high chair, and getting slapped by my eldest sister for same; but, I forget what I was going to write, all the time.
Too much stress, too many health issues, too much chaos all around. Sometimes, if you can get some time to yourself, to relax and just let the thoughts flow in, some of it might come back to you. At least, sometimes it does for me, but, when I can make that happen is so rare.
